Jimmy Allen’s announce date of opening night of second venue, Fowlers

Jimmy Allen’s nightclub confirmed plans to open new venue, Fowlers, on Thursday 26th September, meaning that the club will be ready for the start of Freshers’ Week on Sunday 29th September.

A spokesperson from Jimmy Allen’s told The Tab: “We plan to open on Thursday 26th September, this may get pushed back by a day but hopefully won’t be”.

This also means that returners who are up before Freshers’ Week will be able to enjoy the club to themselves for a few days before the new first years arrive and queues inevitably get busier.

Unlike at their primary site of Jimmy Allen’s, Fowlers will have two sets of women’s toilets in order to speed up queues and allow clubbers more time on the dancefloor. Jimmy Allen’s have converted what was previously a men’s set of toilets on the ground floor of former club Wiff Waff to a women’s set of toilets. There is an additional set of women’s toilets on the top floor, while the men’s toilets on the top floor remain as they previously were.

Jimmy Allen’s reiterated their intention to make the top floor of the venue a karaoke space, commenting: “Upstairs will be a permanent karaoke lounge, we have been putting seating in this week”.
