What is going on with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and their swingers sex scandal?!

One of the husbands has reportedly lost his job due to the situation

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is probably one of the most insane reality shows to come out of 2024: If you haven’t seen it yet, it basically follows eight Mormon influencer #MomTok mums who seem perfect on the outside, but get involved in some serious scandals, one involving swingers of all things.

Each woman has her chance to shine throughout the series, but Taylor Frankie Paul and Whitney Leavitt really steal the spotlight in season one. If you’re deep into internet lore, you might remember Taylor Frankie Paul as the TikToker who shook the platform with news of a swinging sex scandal. She revealed that she had gotten divorced due to breaking the rules of their “soft swinging” agreement. WTF?!

In the series, the wives all deny any swinging, and stand firm that they’ve never engaged in anything that wasn’t monogamous (except Taylor, of course). Instead, they subtly imply that the swinging mormons aren’t on the cast of the show.

The first episode begins after the scandal blew up, and we see Taylor trying to reconnect with the other wives just before she got arrested for domestic violence. At the same time, Whitney moved to Hawaii to get away from all the shunning from her community, but she soon returned with yet another secret (no spoilers from me).

In even more dramatic news, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Mikayla Matthews told Fox News Digital how her husband “actually lost his job over the trailer and the show.”

The series explores the aftermath of when it all went down, but Mikayla denies being involved, saying that “we were going to parties, not swinging parties, but hangout parties where none of that stuff was going down.” She said she remembered thinking: “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, she’s making it seem like everyone was swinging.”

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is available to watch on Disney+, so if you want to get to the bottom of the swingers drama yourself, get streaming!
