Life imitating art x
Couples from teen TV dramas can be some of our most formative examples of love, dating and romance but did you know which characters dated in real life? It is a Hollywood trope as old as the business itself that sometimes your set-based chemistry can bleed over into their off-set life. Add in some hormones and melodrama from shows like Riverdale, Gossip Girl and many others; you have a recipe for both crushes and the inevitable heartbreak. Here are the couples from all your teen TV dramas who dated in real life
Mischa Barton and Ben McKenzie – The OC
Mischa recently revealed to Alexandra Cooper on her podcast Call Her Daddy that she did actually date Ben McKenzie, who played the most troubled teen of all early 00s television.

Dating your co-star on a teen drama isn’t even for the teens! Lily and Rufus became a rumoured real-life item when they were spotted kissing around New York City by eagle-eyed fans (probably inspired by the show’s namesake blog). The speculation was reported by Buzzfeed but never confirmed by the pair.
