Relationships at uni can be an absolute mind field. You get the people who come to uni with their school sweetheart and piss off all their flatmates by letting them stay and hike up the water bill, you’ve got the people who vow to stay single but then meet their forever boyfriend in Freshers’, or you’ve got the people who fall victim to flatcest every single year.

But are there specific uni degrees where students are most likely to cheat on their partners? Well, experts at RANT Casino surveyed 3,800 people in the UK to find out the professions where people are most likely to cheat on their partners. From this, we worked out the degrees where people are most likely to have an affair after uni.

So these are the uni degrees where you’re most likely to cheat on your partner:

12. Sciences

Students doing degrees in sciences like biology, chemistry or physics are the least likely to cheat on their partners with only 0.1 per cent of people admitting so.

11. Business

Students studying business-related degrees and looking into going into business, consulting and management are the degrees second least likely to have an affair with just over 0.1 per cent admitting they’d cheated on their partner.

10. Art and Design

Next is students studying art and design where 0.4 per cent of people working in the industry have admitted to cheating on their partner. Of all the people surveyed, only seven admitted to having an affair.

9. Law

Potentially surprisingly low on the list, students studying law are ninth. 0.5 per cent of people working in the legal profession admitted to having an affair after uni.

8. Geography

Geography is next with 0.6 per cent of grads working in the environment and agricultural sector admitting to having an affair.

7. Marketing

The marketing girlies are at number seven. 0.9 per cent of grads working in marketing, advertising and PR have admitted to cheating on their partner at work.

6. Social Care

At sixth are health and social care grads. 1.9 per cent of people working in social care have admitted to having an affair after uni.

5. Computer Science

Incredible scenes that people studying computer science can get one shag never mind two, but computer science students are next with 4.6 per cent of people working in information technology and with computers admitting to cheating on their partner after uni.

4. Maths/Economics

Next, students studying maths or economics are the fourth most likely to have an affair after uni. 5.4 per cent of people working in accounting, banking and finance cheated on their partners at work.

3. Engineering

Students studying different kinds of engineering are the third most likely to have an affair after uni. 109 people surveyed admitted to infidelity meaning 6.6 per cent of people studying engineering are likely to have an affair.

2. Medicine

With crazy hours and long shifts, stress, and on call rooms (big Grey’s Anatomy vibes) students studying medicine are the second most likely to have an affair. 12.5 per cent of people surveyed working in healthcare have admitted to cheating on their partners after uni.

1. Education/ teacher training

Yikes, people studying to be a teacher on degrees like education or those taking up a postgrad teacher training qualification are most likely to cheat on their partner. 13.7 per cent of all teachers have confessed to infidelity at work.
