A new original Banksy has been unveiled in Birmingham

A new piece of original Banksy street art has been discovered in Birmingham earlier today, aiming to highlight the issue of homelessness at Christmas.

The mural appeared on Vyse Street in the Jewellery Quarter, and shows two reindeer pulling away a street bench next to a bin like a sleigh. In a video published on Banksy's Instagram, a homeless man named Ryan settles onto the bench to sleep, whilst people walk and cars drive past.

Banksy describes in the caption how in the 20 minute they were filming the video, "passers-by gave him a hot drink, two chocolate bars and a lighter – without him ever asking for anything."

With over 4,500 people sleeping rough over the UK, many people have praised Banksy for drawing attention to the issue, especially with temperatures already dropping extremely low this winter.
