‘Arresting’ Arts Tower photograph wins award
We always knew it was glorious
Apparently even the old and grey can be considered beautiful.
Daniel Cook, an ex-University of Sheffield student, has been declared winner of the ‘urban view’ category of the Take a View Landscape Photographer 2014 awards with his impressive photograph of Sheffield’s Art’s Tower.
It literally looks nothing like the real thing.

A great photo admittedly, but it certainly doesn’t look like that hungover at 9am on a Thursday. Or ever, actually.
Not only does Daniel win £1000, but his piece will also be showcased in London Waterloo from the start of December until the 31st January.
Arguably not one of the most beautiful buildings in Sheffield, Daniel proves that the Arts Tower is more than just the gauge of how late you’ll be to your lectures when walking down Broomhill.
Described by The Star as an ‘arresting’ photograph, it has left us wondering how anybody managed to make the Tower look any colour other than grey.
