A reply-all blunder has left 3500 budding financiers now accidentally supporting UKIP.
The entire Capitox finance society mailing list has been signed up to the UKIP, One Direction Fans and Young Communist League email updates in a series of pranks stemming from one user’s accidental reply all.

The mailing list is rumoured to include more than 3,500 emails, and after David Miron, a First Year Somervillian accidentally emailed the whole group, pranksters quickly realised this could be used for more nefarious purposes.
There appears to be no facility for members to unsubscribe to these new additions leaving hundreds enraged about the spam they will now receive.
Jai Kapoor, a Third Year at Catz commented “I don’t even know who to message to vent my anger”.

One member of the mailing list suggested this episode “shows how poorly organised Oxford societies are, that they can’t even handle a simple mailing list.”

He continued “How can we trust these societies with our details if stuff like this happens? It’s like our own little GCHQ fuck up”.
