Right, who actually is Ariana Grande’s new boyfriend Ethan Slater?

Amid affair allegations and ex-wife drama, everybody has had something to say about Ariana Grande and Ethan slater since their relationship began. And now Ariana has clapped back at critics in her new song: Yes, And?

“Your business is yours and mine is mine/ Why do you care so much whose dick I ride?” she questions. The song slaps but doesn’t stop the world’s overwhelming nosiness. Becauses, aside from this infamous footage of Ethan playing SpongeBob in The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage! many of us know next to nothing about him.

Ethan and Ariana’s relationship seems to be getting quite serious as they’ve hung out with each other’s families

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater made an unexpected public outing  when they stepped out for dinner with her dad in New York. The paparazzi pictures went viral – namely because of their seemingly minimal height difference (she’s 5ft, he’s allegedly 5ft’7), which rattled the internet to its core.

Ethan is currently performing in Spamalot on Broadway

Seeing as Ariana and Ethan met on set for the upcoming Wicked film it sort of makes sense he’s a musical theatre girly. And right now he’s performing in the Brodway revival of the play Spamalot.

Ariana slyly referenced Ethan’s project in her last Instagram post when, in a carousel of other photos, she included a close up of her Christmas tree, where she’d hung a can of SPAM up as an ornament. Sort of cute??

He’s playing the character who wants Ariana but can’t get her in the Wicked film

Life doesn’t always imitate art because Ethan is playing Boq in the upcoming Wicked musical film – the character who adores Ariana’s character Glinda but winds up with Elphaba’s younger sister Nessarose instead.

He’s most famous for playing SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway

Although Ethan got absolutely taken the piss out of for being SpongeBob when he first was linked to Ariana, it’s actually his biggest role and he’s pretty proud of the musical: “The #spongebobmusicallive is on @nickelodeon on TOMORROW December 7th at 7pm!” he told his fans on Instagram. “And, is it just me, or is it getting a little toasty up here.”

He went to Vassar College and landed his first role while he was still studying

Ethan basically hit the ground running in the performing arts world as he was cast in SpongeBob SquarePants while he was still a sophomore at Vassar College in New York. But he, humbly, told People landing the role had been a “stroke of luck” after he’d met the casing director for the show during a theatre apprenticeship.

You also might have spotted him in small roles in TV shows like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Law & Order and Fosse/Verdon.
