Brad from MAFS UK confirms he attended Russell Brand’s Community festival

Brad Skelly from this year’s MAFS UK has shared on Instagram that he attends Community festival – organised by disgraced comedian Russell Brand who has this year been accused by multiple women of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse. This comes after the news was revealed that Brad gets removed from Married at First Sight following “controlling” behaviour towards wife Shona.

Last night, Brad reposted a statement from a friend to his Instagram story. In the statement his friend vouches for Brad, saying “I have not watched the programme yet, but I hear Brad is getting a lot of stick lately because of how he came across on MAFS UK. You shouldn’t judge him based on a TV programme.

“I only met Brad at Community by Russell Brand Festival, but how was he with me? Nothing but kind, caring, welcoming, helpful and has his ego very well in check. Top bloke I’d say.”

The festival, according to its website, says the following. “Community is about personal awakening and social change. Russell Brand and friends will be back for 3 days of camping, conversation on spirituality, wellness, healthy living and our environment.

Limber up for yoga or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, enjoy musical performances , relax with meditation and massage from a range of holistic healers on site.”

The Russell Brand festival attendance comes on the day Brad is set to be told to leave MAFS UK, as the experts step in to stop his and Shona’s marriage before it becomes “unhealthy”.A show source told The Sun:  “The relationship with Shona was getting toxic. Bosses stepped in before the situation got out of hand.” In emotional scenes still to be seen, dating expert Paul Carrick Brunson tells Brad and Shona that they have to leave.

A Channel 4 spokesman said: “If any relationships on MAFS UK develop in a way that is deemed unhealthy we take expert advice as to whether the couple should leave the process. This was the case with Brad and Shona. Support is available at all times.”
