It’s time: Summer Love Island 2023 starts next month!

We’re BACK

I hope you’re ready to dust yourself off and get back into Love Island mode, because it’s official: The summer 2023 series start date is next month. Yep, the show is back already!

You might only feel as though we said goodbye to the South Africa villa a matter of days ago – which we pretty much did – but it’s time to get ready to meet a whole bunch of new Islanders and go again. Maya Jama will be back hosting the show, and this time it’s in its summer home of Majorca.

Right now, the villa is being prepared for a whole cast of newbies, who will be flying to Spanish island in a couple of weeks. It’s been reported proceedings will kick off for us on Monday, June 5th. The show will last for two months.

A source told The Sun: “Love Island will start on June 5th, just as people are getting ready to enjoy their summers. ITV has already lined up the Islanders who will be heading to the show’s villa in Majorca. The cast will fly out late next month ready for the show to begin in just eight weeks.

“It is hugely exciting and those working on the show cannot wait to get started. This series will be eight weeks long, meaning the couple who win the show will be in the villa for two months.”

The villa is the same £2.57million one used for the last summer series, but of course, every year it gets a bit of a makeover. The villa has recently been pictured being done up, including new solar panels being placed on the complex, to reduce its carbon footprint.

Kai and Sanam have just been named winners of the winter Love Island 2023 series, but with the summer start date creeping up, who will take their crown? It’s time for a long hot summer!
