The slumber party is kinda old news
Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears having a pink-lit slumber party in 2025 feels like peak Y2K fever dream energy, but it’s not as random as it looks.
Their latest Calabasas nights hangout, complete with cosy pyjamas, kids dancing around the living room and Khloé Kardashian joking about their “geriatric bed,” is just the newest chapter in a connection that goes way back to early-2000s Hollywood.

The girly get-together everyone is talking about seemingly went down at Kim’s Hidden Hills home, where Britney joined Kim, Khloé and her longtime manager Cade Hudson for a low-key pyjama party, per People.
On Instagram, Kim shared selfies from the night, the group piled into bed under pink mood lighting, with Kim doing her classic pout, Khloé laughing, and Britney pulling faces in a floral pyjama set.
Kim also took to the ‘gram and captioned one snap “Calabasas nights,” while other clips showed their daughters, Chicago and True, dancing around in their PJs in the background.
Britney later posted her own video, lying between Kim and Khloé, kissing them on the cheek and teasing that the huge bed “vibrates.” Khloé joked that they were chilling in their “geriatric bed,” and Britney thanked the sisters for a warm, family-style evening with dinner and time with their kids, calling them “such a warm, beautiful, kind family.”
So, yes, this really was a proper slumber party, not just a staged photo op. But it only makes sense when you remember this isn’t a brand-new friendship at all…

Britney and the Kardashians have been crossing paths for over a decade. Back in 2012, they were photographed side by side at Clive Davis’ pre-GRAMMY gala, posing together with music mogul Richard Branson, a very glam snapshot of their early red-carpet overlap, per Entertainment Tonight.
That same year, Khloé co-hosted The X Factor USA while Britney was on the judging panel, and Britney’s often been described as having “a long history with the Kardashians.”
They all moved in the same circles as Paris Hilton during the mid-2000s party era, when Kim was still known as Paris’ stylist and closet-organising right-hand and Britney was one of the most photographed women in the world.
In more recent years, the connection has looked a lot more supportive than just the group all being party girls.
After the 2021 documentary Framing Britney Spears put the conservatorship under a microscope, Kim publicly posted that watching it gave her “a lot of empathy” for Britney, per Billboard.
They’ve also interacted online. When Britney complimented Khloé’s look in 2022, Kim jumped in on social media to agree, so it’s clear to see that Britney’s relationship with the family stretches back years.
