‘I’ve had a good life’: Ozzy Osbourne accepted he was close to death days before passing
'If my life’s coming to an end, I really can’t complain'
Ozzy Osbourne emotionally admitted that he had accepted death just before his final Black Sabbath show, in a clip for the upcoming documentary about his life.
In the documentary, which is set to release in October, Ozzy told the camera: “If my life’s coming to an end, I really can’t complain. I had a great life.”
Ozzy’s daughter, Aimee Osbourne also spoke out about his “biggest heartbreak” during the documentary, following a fall he suffered from in February 2019.
She explained that her father was “in hospital for weeks” and having to cancel the tour massively impacted him.
She continued: “To fall like that and not be able to bounce back like he had in the past, and then having to cancel the tour – that was his biggest heart-break.”
Ozzy’s son Jack also recently opened up about the death of his father, Ozzy Osbourne in an emotional and candid YouTube video.
He admitted during the video that his passing had been completely “unexpected” for all the family, as it hadn’t even been on their “radar” as something they should be worrying about.
He explained: “No one expected it to happen as quickly as it did and and when it did. It was not anything that was on our radar.”
Jack also touched upon the longstanding rumours that Ozzy Osbourne had gone to Switzerland to euthanise himself, shutting them down as “ridiculous” and “untrue.”
He stated: “I know leading up to it there was all sorts of stuff going around about my dad going to Switzerland to euthanize himself and this was all planned.
“This was this this it was not absolutely not. That is categorically untrue and ridiculous.” Jack shared how Ozzy was “so happy” to have been able to return to the stage for one last time and was preparing to settle into retirement.
“He was happy to kind of move into this next phase of his life. He wanted to to spend more time in England. He wanted to spend more time with my kids.”
