The Bachelor’s Madi slammed for ‘using’ Charlie Kirk’s death to promote her new book
'It’s so tasteless to exploit someone’s death for her own profit'
The Bachelor star Madi, who is remembered for being controversial, is being accused of using Charlie Kirk‘s death to promote her new book. She started off a recent social media post by saying, “The world is heavy right now,” and ended it with a big push for sales.
Madi wrote a book called Dare To Be, which she “wrote for the one who is tired of the pretending and striving, who feels isolated and hopeless, and who is bombarded with lies that leaves you to question: What’s really true? about me? About God? About life after this life?”
However, after Kirk was shot, she proceeded to promote that book. She’s received a lot of criticism for doing so, with one person commenting, “Yet you found the opportunity to plug your own book and put up some pictures of yourself. Ego much?”
Another person commented: “Can we not use this tragedy that happened to Charlie Kirk as a way to sell your new book? I’m sorry, but it just feels wrong and weird,” while one follower wrote: “Not you trying to capitalise on this to sell your book.”
Madi prides herself on being a “follower of Jesus,” as stated in her Instagram bio, and shares similar values of Christianity that Kirk did. After his death, she posted several stories and a post sharing her sadness over Kirk’s passing, but she doesn’t follow his Instagram profile.
Madi received a lot of criticism for supporting Charlie’s views, and even for mourning his death. She said she “feels angered by the brokenness of our world” and is “saddened for the Kirk family and will commit to praying for them continually.”
During The Bachelor season with Madi on, she decided to leave the show because her religious beliefs clashed with co-star Weber’s actions. Madi revealed she was saving herself for marriage and told Weber she couldn’t get past him sleeping with others on the show.
