Every reality TV star who’s spoken out in support of Charlie Kirk after his death
'Violence is never the answer'
The news of Charlie Kirk’s death sent ripples far beyond the political world. Even reality TV stars, who we might not usually expect to weigh in, have been sharing their heartbreak, tributes and support.
No matter the differences in background or beliefs, tragedy clearly has a way of cutting through all of that. From heartfelt Instagram posts to emotional video tributes, these familiar faces have spoken out to honour Charlie Kirk and send love to his family.
Charlie was fatally shot whilst speaking on a Utah university campus on September 10. Here’s a look at some of the reality TV stars who’ve shared their reactions in the days since his passing.
Alex Hall
Selling The OC and Selling Sunset star Alex Hall posted about Charlie Kirk following his death. She said she was “undeniably emotional” about what happened.
Alex posted about his passing on her Instagram story, writing: “I cannot explain how undeniably emotional I am about this. I have never been so moved by anyone’s death whom I have never met. What a courageous man. What an honour to have walked this earth at the same time as someone so inspirational as you. I admire you. I admire your strength. I admire the legacy you have left behind.”
The Selling The OC star also compared him to being the “Martin Luther King of our generation.” She wrote: “I’m just going to say it. I feel like this man is the MLK of our generation …and that’s something that saddens me.
“History repeating itself is something that is 100 per cent preventable, and I blame us. US as humans, US as individuals who allow ourselves to be influenced by society and whatever it may be that drives people to this depth of evil and feeling as though it is right.”
She added: “There is an undoubtedly amount of us who lack to have faith and surrender to fear. Let this be your very tragic reminder that Violence is NEVER THE ANSWER.”
Kelly Dodd
Real Housewives of Orange County alum Kelly Dodd was called out for comparing the media coverage of the deaths of Charlie Kirk and George Floyd following Kirk’s murder. She initially shared a meme comparing the media coverage, which caused outrage. Kelly has since taken to Instagram again to defend her stance.
She wrote in the video caption: “This isn’t about race. It’s about the way the media portrayed two people who were both killed. George Floyd was celebrated as a hero and martyr despite his criminal convictions and drugs in his system.
“Charlie Kirk has been demonised, despite his faith, family and interest in dialogue and debate on important subjects with America’s youth. You don’t have to agree with him to pay respect. No one should be MURDERED!!”
Savannah Chrisley
Reality TV star Savannah Chrisley is another who paid tribute to Charlie following his death.
In a heartfelt statement, Savannah described him not just as a public figure but as someone who changed her life, lifted her family up when she most needed it, and gave her a voice. Through tears, Savannah said Charlie “gave her a voice as a woman,” and “made her feel like she had power to show up in this world.”
Savannah and Kirk were due to travel together across college campuses “every weekend” in October this year. The two worked together, speaking publicly and advocating for causes they both believed in. Through tears, she said on social media: “I was supposed to be sitting next to Charlie every weekend in October. This is tough. Pray, pray for Charlie, his parents, his children, his entire family.”
She continued in the post’s caption: “He believed in me and in my family when the world turned its back… He saw potential, he spoke life into us, and he reminded me that God still had a plan even when I couldn’t see it myself. That kind of belief changes you forever.”
Khloé Kardashian
Khloé also showed some support for Charlie Kirk following his death. She didn’t write anything relating to Kirk’s shooting herself. But, the Kardashians star reposted a statement by Dr Raymond Nichols, which claims that the incident “has nothing to do with politics” and is “nothing to do with left or right.” He also wrote: “We don’t have a violence problem. We have a numbness problem. Death became a trend.”
People believe her reposting the message shows what her feelings towards the incident are. One person wrote: “Thank you for the amazing story you posted after what happened to Charlie Kirk. I wish a lot more people were human enough to do that.” Khloe previously liked Kirk’s post about his Christian faith and posted three prayer hand emojis in the comments.
Maya Vander
Selling Sunset star Maya took to Instagram to share how, although she wasn’t entirely aware of who Charlie Kirk was, when she heard of his death, she was “upset” and reminded people he was “a father, a husband, a son.”
Netflix show star Maya said she’s “tired of the hate,” and thinks it’s “disgusting and terrible that someone would be killed for their opinions.”
Gretchen Rossi

Taking to her Instagram Stories following the news of Charlie Kirk’s death, Gretchen Rossi of The Real Housewives of Orange County shared a broken-hearted love heart emoji.
The RHOC alum didn’t post any words, but simply left her mark and paid tribute in her own way with the well-known icon.
Vanna Einerson
Love Island USA star Vanna Einerson also found herself in the spotlight after sharing a tribute to Charlie Kirk. Vanna, who appeared on season seven of the dating show and has built a huge following on Instagram and TikTok, reposted a video montage of Kirk in black and white images.
The emotional clip described him as someone who “walked with honour, spoke with conviction, and stayed true to what he believed,” while calling his legacy one of both words and integrity. Alongside the montage, the caption read: “We don’t have to agree politically, but we can at least have morals,” per Daily Mail.
Vicki Gunvalson

Another RHOC star who had more to say was Vicki Gunvalson. She paid tribute to Charlie by sharing Instagram posts featuring quotes from him.
Vicki also wrote: “At a loss for words seeing this father, son, husband and friend killed in such a horrific act of violence. Praying for his family. May you rest in peace, Charlie.”
Meghan King

Another RHOC alum, Meghan King, also paid tribute to Charlie. She posted a lengthy statement to her Instagram Stories.
It read: ” I am devastated for Charlie Kirk, his family, and America. This was the second shooting I heard of today.
“Violence is never ever the answer. I am sickened. This was a son, a father, and someone with such passion for the future of America that he put his life in the line of danger. I can promise you I don’t care enough about politics to do that, and I doubt you do too. Charlie Kirk – despite any political views – is an objectively courageous man. I pray to God that he survives. This was a MAGA event, obviously there’s going to be high tensions – why aren’t we doing more to protect our citizens?”
Meghan continued: “I am also horrified by the active shooter this morning in Austin (that probably is buried in the news somewhere – which is also terrifying), my best friend, her kids, and the whole community for the terror they witnessed. And Austin, your emergency alerts glitched and put people in danger. DO BETTER!!!!!
“Where’s your safe haven? Church, college campuses, elementary schools, not anymore. Is prison safer than being in the American public? At least the bad guys can’t have guns there. JUST SAYIN.”
Erin Napier
Among the many reality TV personalities who have spoken out after Charlie Kirk’s tragic death, Home Town star Erin Napier also took a strong stance. And it was one that sparked controversy among her own followers.
A few days after the fatal shooting, Erin reposted a quote on her Instagram Story: “Only the demonized celebrate death,” per Distractify.
She followed this by calling out those who had sent her messages celebrating Kirk’s death, writing: “I am revolted by some of the comments in my DMs about the last slide. Unfollow me, immediately, if you could be one of those comments. Christ, have mercy on us all.”
She clarified: “I will not celebrate murder.” Many fans reacted strongly with some saying that they would stop watching her shows or return products tied to her brand.
