The shocking real reason the Love Is Blind UK hosts are BANNED from attending the weddings

The Love Is Blind UK weddings released on Netflix today, and whilst I won’t reveal any spoilers you should definitely give them a watch.

However, whilst all of the cast members friends and family are there to watch them tie the knot, or potentially not… you might notice that the hosts of the show Emma and Matt aren’t present for any of them.

For a lot of the dating reality TV shows, the host is there when the couples make their final decisions about whether they want to stay with their partner, so why aren’t Emma and Matt at the Love is Blind UK weddings?

Well, as it turns out they’ve actually been banned from attending the weddings, and if you need someone to blame then you can blame the US series of the show.

The pair revealed in an interview with the i paper that they had previously “tried this with the American hosts and it was too distracting.”

The creator of the entire series, Chris Coelen, also revealed some more wedding secrets in an interview with Variety.

If you’ve ever wondered how they decided which person out of the couple will speak at the altar first, he revealed that they wait until the day to decide.

He explained: “We put our finger into the wind and see which way it’s blowing. This documentation of their experience is a moment in their life.

“The choice that they make at the altar is for the rest of their life, either way. We don’t want to influence their decision at all.

“I go see them on the day of their wedding and I don’t even ask them what they’re going to say. I do not want to know.”

He added: “We want it to be real. I always tell them, ‘From a cynical producer’s point of view, I literally do not care [what their answer is].

“If we have delivered the audience a very compelling journey, then let’s lean into the authenticity of that. But for you, you live with that forever.’ The only thing that matters to me is that each person makes the right decision for themselves.”
