It looks like there’s major beef between Lana Ja’Rae and her drag mother Luxx Noir?!
'The people need to know what you did'
Erm, Lana Ja’Rae and Luxx Noir London are seemingly beefing on X – and people aren’t sure what to make of it. The youngest queen to compete on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17 and her drag mother have apparently fallen out big time. Lana Ja’Rae is well-known for telling it how it is, and Luxx oozes an equal amount of confidence. As the two appear to take to their keyboards to slam one another, a lot of folks are trying to work out if it’s a joke or not?!
Lana Ja’Rae and Luxx Noir London’s tweets
It’s no secret that when drama erupts between the RuPaul’s Drag Race cast members, the first place they begin airing their thoughts is X.
On August 26, Luxx Noir shared an unexpected post reading: “Due to Unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances, Lana Ja’Rae Jackson is no longer in the Haus Of Luxx.”
She then added: “Just a word to the wise, be careful with what words you chose to speak on Lady Gaga’s name and LEGACY.”
Lana then replied on the thread, and wrote: “We had our conversation in private, I think it’s best if we leave our personal relations and problems in private too”
Luxx mysteriously added: “The people need to know what you did.”
People think it’s a joke

Some of the comments people are leaving on Lana and Luxx’s conversation point at one key thing – it’s got to be for comedy value.
Folks commented: “This better be a bit,” and “oh it’s a joke,” and more suggested that the Lady Gaga references are a huge sign it’s all in jest.
Another tweet from Luxx pretty much confirms the whole thing was a joke. She later posted a screenshot showing her texting Lana to say: “Send me over $5 million, and this can all be over.”
Lana seemingly replied with a photo of Felicia Cannon, and then Luxx wrote back: “Understood. You’re let back in. Don’t let it happen again.”
The image was captioned: “Okay y’all we all good now @lanajarae.” And thankfully, it seems that everyone is relieved at the news. One commented: “Had a heart attack for a sec lol,” and another said: “My family is back together, please don’t scare us like that again.”
Lana also took to socials to “address the Luxx beef.” She said: “You want the real tea, I’ve got it with me right here… this is why Luxx disowned me, I got it right here, you ready? I actually don’t got it with me… I must’ve misplaced it or something…” Lana laughed and clapped at the end of the video, kinda insinuating further that the whole thing was a joke.
Luxx wasn’t Lana’s first drag mother?!
As if the emotional rollercoaster of Luxx and Lana’s ‘beef’ wasn’t enough, it also turns out Luxx wasn’t even her original drag mother.
Plasma, from RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16, previously said that she was Lana’s drag mother first. “I think we both realised, I had no business doing any sort of like adjusting or like workshopping on someone like Lana Ja’Rae because she came out the womb, apparently mine, swinging…” Plasma explained.
“The story is, she was in Oklahoma when I was getting my undergrad… we met each other through drag because it was COVID,” she added. Plasma continued: “I was doing the drag pageant through the school, she blew up on social media and later met Luxx and House of Noir London…”
