Here’s why a full-blown love triangle and engagement was left out of Love Is Blind UK
One couple was totally cut from the edit
Love Is Blind UK fans have noticed a curious omission from the latest season – and not for the first time! One full-blown engagement never made it to the screen. While the show is known for its dramatic twists and jaw-dropping proposals, this particular couple’s journey was mysteriously cut, leaving us all wondering what really happened behind the pods. It wasn’t even due to a lack of chemistry, apparently. The absence has sparked plenty of speculation and left people itching for answers – now, the Netflix stars involved in the season two drama are spilling the tea on what went down.
An engagement was totally left out of Love Is Blind UK
According to The Daily Mail, a Love Is Blind UK participant, Ross Millington, was keen to jump on TikTok to explain why he appeared on the show for all of about two seconds.
People are binge-watching the episodes this August, and as they get stuck in, it becomes more and more evident that we’re all missing out on some super juicy scenes.
Ross was not only involved in something of a love triangle during series two, but he also fully proposed to someone, and she said yes?!
The scenes were edited out, as not all the relationships that develop on the Netflix show can make it into the final cut. Ross explained: “That was me, I didn’t make it to Greece unfortunately. Reveal went well though.”
The report reads: “… with so many connections forming, not everyone gets the chance to make it past the initial stages, even if they put a ring on it. During a Love Is Blind season, typically only up to five couples are followed past the early stages.”
Love Is Blind UK’s wild love triangle
The savage edits don’t stop there for series two, either. Not only was Ross’ journey not shown, but the woman he proposed to, Amy Jane, ended up with someone else.
Amy said ‘yes’ when Ross proposed, but apparently, things didn’t work out between them.
“Though Amy and Ross got on very well, within 24 hours of exiting the pods, she knew something wasn’t right. On their first night out together, Amy says it immediately became clear that she and Ross had vastly different values and senses of humor. So, when she found out that they would not be one of the couples followed by cameras on their journey to the altar, it felt like a “blessing in disguise,” reports Tudum.
According to Amy, the two agreed they weren’t right for one another and parted ways.
Once out of filming, Amy then slid into another participant, James Clark’s, DMs. She and James got to know one another in the pods initially, but then formed a solid connection after her engagement with Ross ended.
Since they got in contact after Love Is Blind UK, it looks like they’ve found ‘the one’ in each other. They’re still very much together, and apparently, the whole relationship has been “easy.” Amy’s even met James’ kids!
“The two have spent the last three months living together in Malta and are now starting to think about settling down, maybe in Cardiff, London, or back abroad.”
