One of the UK’s richest women blasted for boasting about being gifted free designer items
She's been accused of being 'out of touch with reality'
One of the UK’s richest women, Amanda Cronin, has come under fire for her resurfaced comments following her appearance on The Real Housewives of London.
Amanda is worth tens of millions of pounds, part of which came from her divorce settlement from Mark Daeche in 2019.
Amanda Cronin previously appeared in the Channel 4 documentary, The Millionairess and Me before her appearance on The Real Housewives of London, which showcased her unlikely friendship with ex convict Martin Read.
Martin was previously homeless, but was shown a vastly different lifestyle to the one he’s used to by Amanda, who showed him round her Mayfair home, before flying him to Monaco for a charity ball.
However, her behaviour during the documentary resulted in serious backlash after she was branded as being “out of touch with reality.”
During one moment, the multimillionaire donated a Gucci voucher of all things to a charity shop, alongside boasting about all the designer items she gets sent for free.
She explained: “I get gifted, I get deliveries everyday. Everyday something arrives through the post, it’s nice. It’s like Christmas everyday.”
Amanda then showed off her £150k Bentley, and revealed that she’d just bought another Mayfair mansion for £3 million in the hopes of flipping it for an eyewatering £11 million. On other words, Amanda Cronin is prime Real Housewives of London.
The socialite also told HELLO! that she was excited for the show to hopefully help her dating life, and I’m a bit obsessed.
She explained: “The timing is amazing. I’ve got nothing to stop me. It’s not a secret that I’ve reinvented myself post-50; I’m a new person, and I’m taking on new challenges.
“I have a whole new life in front of me, and this show is part of it. I do see it as a dating platform globally, and I’m hoping it’s going to get me out of my shell because I can be at home a lot. I’m not going to meet Mr. Right sitting at home with my poodle.”
The Real Housewives of London is streaming weekly, exclusively on Hayu.
