We looked into whether Kenny Rodriguez’s break-up post from JaNa was written by ChatGPT
Liv and Leah both claim it was done by AI
After the shocking news that JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez have split, he wrote a statement confirming the rumours, but his Love Island: Beyond The Villa co-stars, Leah Kateb and Liv Walker, have now claimed that it was written by none other than ChatGPT.
Basically, Liv claimed a post which appears to show a copy and paste job of Kenny’s break-up statement was done by AI, which reads: “The past few days have been incredibly difficult. I’ve been quietly sitting with a lot of emotions and doing my best to process privately.”
“Breakups are never easy, especially in the public eye. Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long term. I’ll always be grateful for the time we shared and memories,” he added.

The post also said that Kenny “releases this chapter with no ill will” and that JaNa’s “path forward brings her nothing but happiness.” Since then, there have been multiple questions asked about whether he wrote the whole thing using the help of an AI tool.
According to Liv, ChatGPT simply said that it was written by them, when she asked them not to give an explanation. Multiple AI detectors claim that it was 100 percent written by an AI tool, so we thought, why not just test the whole statement ourselves?
After we input the same statement into the tool, ChatGPT themselves replied to us: “The passage you shared could have been written by either a human or an AI—there’s nothing in it that definitively proves one or the other.”
Reasons why it could have been include that the language is polished, emotionally neutral, and somewhat generic, uses common phrasing found in public statements, especially from celebrities or influencers, and lacks very specific personal details.

However, Kenny’s statement reflects real emotional experience, such as grief and reflection, has an empathetic and self-aware tone, which is typical in authentic breakup posts, and is written in the first person with natural-sounding flow, not robotic.
We also asked ChatGPT to draft a break-up statement for Kenny, and they provided us with: “After a lot of reflection and tough conversations, Jana and I have decided to go our separate ways. This isn’t easy to share — breakups never are.”
“But we both came to the understanding that our paths are leading in different directions. That doesn’t take away from the respect or care we still have for each other. I’m grateful for the memories we created and the love we shared. Jana is an incredible person,” it added.
The ChatGPT response ended the statement with: “And I’ll always wish the best for her. Right now, I’m focusing on growth, healing, and moving forward with honesty and peace.” Take with that what you will!
