The drama-fuelled reason Andy Cohen never lets Real Housewives stars into his home
He only used to let three specific cast members in
Andy Cohen seems pretty friendly with the Real Housewives, unless he’s grilling them about their behaviour, which is most of the time. He only used to let three specific stars of the Bravo franchise into his home, but that came to an end after some drama.
Bethenny Frankel, Carole Radziwill, and Kyle Richards were in Andy’s former inner circle of friends, yet things have changed since. An insider told National Enquirer: “No Real Housewives allowed. For years, Andy kept a healthy distance from the Housewives.”
He would maintain that distance “when cameras weren’t rolling, but there were a few exceptions.” Andy has since moved into a new $18 million penthouse with his two children, one son and one daughter, after selling his old apartment for $10.5 million.
He’s told the Daily Dish about his Real Housewives-free new home and said: “The new apartment is a little more sophisticated. It’s about the next phase of my life, which I think, is a little more sophisticated… The outdoor space was really huge.”
And the reason why comes down to Bethenny accusing Bravo and Andy of allowing toxic behaviour in the past. “He got burned. Now he knows better,” the source claimed. “No more Housewives in his home,” while Andy has always said Bethenny’s claims are “untrue”.
Bravo acknowledges the use of NDAs but emphasises they are “standard practice in reality programming and mainly serve to protect the confidentiality of storylines” and “are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for both cast and crew.”
Bethenny called for a “reality reckoning” among the Bravo universe in 2023 and asked them to all come together. Sh also accused Andy of protecting himself in the industry while allegedly allowing other cast members to be “skinned alive”.
Andy’s representative has said that the claims being made against Andy are “completely false,” following the moment she lashed out at him for asking “gross” and “problematic” questions on his Watch What Happens Live talk show.
