Love Is Blind cast open up about the drastic measure they took to cope with filming the show
It was an incredibly 'overwhelming' experience for them
Ok, so Love Is Blind season nine’s air date just dropped. And, as the participants gear up for an experience they’ll likely never forget, some former stars of the show are dishing the reality of the experiment. Season eight’s alums are revealing exactly how they coped filming the ‘overwhelming’ dating experiment – and they’ve got some strong words of advice for the upcoming cast.
Taylor and Garret share serious advice
A brand new batch of Love Is Blind episodes are coming in October, and ahead of the show’s release, Taylor and Garrett from season seven are dishing some serious advice in an exclusive with Us Weekly.
Warning anyone who’s set to take part in season nine, Taylor said everyone “needs therapy.”
Garrett also doubled down on her comment and said that a “strong support network” should be on hand for participants in the experiment.
He even went as far as to say: “I mean, lean on your friends, understand that this too shall pass…”
‘Reconnect with what’s real
Even though Garrett and Taylor came out of Love Is Blind season seven a happy couple, they’re really sharing some key advice for people going on the show.
Hoping not to sound too “cliché,” Garrett added: “…it feels so hot and heavy in the moment, but it’s very week to week. Things change very quickly and yeah; you got to weather the storm if you’re going through it but get outside.”
He suggested “touching some grass” and Taylor added: “I would say that the human brain is not meant to handle that much attention… For us, it ended up so positive and great and it was so overwhelming.
“So whatever happens, the s*** is going to hit the fan. If you don’t think it’s going to hit the fan, you’re not being realistic.”
Marissa has a warning for participants

Marissa George’s romance with Ramses Prashad played out during Love Is Blind season seven.
Although things didn’t work out for the duo, she’s also keen to share some words of wisdom for the Netflix newbies.
Marissa suggested going into the show “vulnerable and open,” and advised “staying out of your head.”
She added another key piece of advice: “…surround yourself with friends and family who know you before the show because they’ll remind you who you are because you will get lost at times.”
Watching the show back, Marissa admitted she thought to herself: “Am I really what people are saying?”
