Here are all the Love is Blind couples who really shouldn’t have gotten married, like ever
The red flags couldn't have been brighter
Let’s be honest, not every Love Is Blind couple that walks down the aisle is heading for the altar for the right reasons. Some get caught up in the experiment, some can’t handle the reality check after filming ends, and others? Well, they probably should’ve hit the brakes way before saying ‘I do’. From chaotic altercations to post-wedding betrayals, here are the couples from Love Is Blind who definitely should’ve left it at ‘pod friends’, or even acquaintances, to be honest.
Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson from season two

This was a whirlwind from the jump, and not in a good way. Danielle’s insecurities clashed with Nick’s need for order, and arguments started before the honeymoon even ended.
Remember the time Danielle expressed how upset she was over Nick attending a party without her? Let’s not forget their constant bickering and their struggles when it came to communicating.
They tied the knot in June 2021, but the post-show tension led to a split that surprised absolutely no one. They divorced in August 2022.
It was a super messy, meltdown-style break-up, but we can’t be the only ones who kinda saw it coming?
Season two’s Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones

Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones got married in June 2021 and announced their separation in August 2022, filing for divorce in late 2022.
These two had a rocky road while filming Love Is Blind. Remember when Jarrette actually formed a strong connection with Mallory Zapata?! He almost proposed to her, and it seemed like Iyanna was his backup plan…
More red flags came about during the show, including the two’s personalities being something of a mismatch and their communication breakdowns.
Then, after getting married, allegations of cheating arose. Jarrette denied the claims, but Iyanna said it was partially why they broke up.
She said she got wind of infidelity rumours three days before filming After The Altar. Jarrette did speak on the situation, confirming that other women did visit their marital home. But, he stuck to his guns that no cheating occurred in an Instagram Live video, per Buzzfeed.
Colleen Reed and Matt Bolton from season three
If there’s one Love Is Blind couple everyone just knows shouldn’t have gotten married, it’s got to be Colleen and Matt – sorry guys.
These two had jealousy issues through the roof, volatile outbursts, arguments, and emotional breakdowns a plenty during season three.
Despite all the drama, they still got married and lasted a whopping four years together.
Colleen and Matt married in 2021 and announced their divorce in a joint Instagram post in May 2025.
Kwame Appiah and Chelsea Griffin from season four

Kwame and Chelsea’s marriage is standing the test of time. But, this season four couple really had some lows that should’ve meant their relationship was dunzo.
They’re still going strong, but their marriage hasn’t come without some hurdles.
According to the couple, married life had “not been easy,” but they were keen to fixate on “finding happiness in the little things,” per Tudum.
People were so confused by these two’s romance that they even discussed it on a Reddit thread. Some thought they got a bad edit on Love Is Blind. And more said they just see Chelsea and Kwame as having really different personalities from one another.
Lydia Velez Gonzalez and Milton Johnson from season five
This Love Is Blind couple married in May 2022, and Lydia announced their split in June 2025.
Taylor Krause cracked a joke on Amber Desiree ‘AD’ Smith’s podcast this summer that she was set to announce another Love Is Blind divorce. Thankfully, she’s not, but Milton and Lydia’s recent split comes after a long list of other stars who probably shouldn’t have said ‘I Do’.
Milton and Lydia’s break-up may not have been earth-shattering news for anyone who watched season five.
There were a plethora of red flags from the get-go, and we’re actually surprised how long they lasted.
Firstly, *that* prior relationship with Uche Okoroha raised some eyebrows. The drama got so out of hand that another participant in the show, Aaliyah Cosby, actually left.
Building on that wobbly foundation, Milton’s family didn’t seem that keen on Lydia, and they also had a pretty big age gap.
When it came to their communication and emotional regulation skills, Milton and Lydia raised some concerns during Love Is Blind. Boundary issues were raised, and all in all, it just seemed like their romance was a little too much like hard work right from the off.
Season seven’s Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis
Next up, we have Ashley and Tyler. These guys really should’ve just left things at the altar.
During their Mexico trip, some red flags flew. Tyler warned Ashley that people who know him “in real life” would tell her he’s “not nice.”
He later explained he meant: “Like, nah, I just wasn’t nice to y’all,” and Ashley seemed to take in the information just fine,
Things got a little weird after Ashley said: “There’s nothing that no one can tell me,” as Tyler replied: “You never know who comes out of the woodwork.”
Whew, as if that wasn’t enough, we also had a whole surrogacy drama during Ashley and Tyler’s Love Is Blind episodes.
Tyler’s revelation that he had fathered three children through sperm donation ended up being one of the most significant issues in their relationship.
He told Ashley just before their wedding. They still got married, and Ashley announced the couple’s split in early 2025.
Taylor Haag and Daniel Hastings from season eight
Last, but by no means least, we have another lasting couple – Taylor and Daniel.
These two are giving “happy-go-lucky” besties vibes 24/7, but their romance didn’t come without some hiccups.
Taylor and Daniel are still together, but technically, their marriage shouldn’t have been one that lasted.
During Love Is Blind, they went through some drama when Daniel’s Instagram activity was thrown into question.
Taylor questioned whether Daniel had followed her prior to the show. Not only that, but Taylor did also used to bring up her partner’s height a lot. Per Tudum, Daniel said: “When you’re trying to find the person you’re going to marry in such a short window of time, if you don’t have something that really tests you as a couple, you’re not sure how it’s going to translate into marriage…”
Looks like these two are moving on quickly, and they’ve gotten a dog together already!
