Cierra was a standout cast member on the show, entering as a bombshell on night two. But her dreams of reaching the season seven finale were trashed after some controversial social media posts of hers resurfaced.

Love Island USA season seven has literally been jam-packed with drama. All kinds of controversies have been uncovered by people digging into the cast members’ lives pre-show.
On day 26, Cierra, who was coupled up with Nic Vansteenberghe, was removed from the show by production.
Her removal came after social media posts were uncovered that saw her using an ethnic slur.
In a now-deleted Instagram story, allegedly from 2023, Cierra was seen using the slur to describe her eye shape.
Cierra wasn’t the first Islander to have been found to have previously used a racial slur.
Yulissa Escobar was also seen using the ‘N-word’ in a post online, and she was subsequently axed from Love Island USA.

Since some of the controversial Islanders have been revealed this season, the people managing their social media posts have been speaking out on their behalf.
With the finale nearing, the folks running Austin Shepard’s IG page posted to his account to beg for people to “be kind,” pretty much adding how everyone makes mistakes.
Yulissa also addressed her controversial post-show.
Now, Cierra’s parents have broken their silence since hate has come her way during Love Island USA.
In a lengthy Instagram Story post, they wrote how they’d been through “one of the most painful weeks of their lives.”
It read:
“We’ve seen the posts, the headlines, the hurt and the hate. And while Cierra hasn’t seen any of it yet, we have. And so have the people who love her.”
While they think their daughter should be held accountable for her actions, they added their thoughts on things going “too far.”
“We’re not here to justify or ignore what’s surfaced. We understand why people are upset, and we know accountability matters…” they wrote.
“What’s happening online right now has gone far beyond that,” the post continued. “The threats. The cruel messages. The attacks on her family, her friends, even her supporters, it’s heartbreaking. It’s uncalled for. No one deserves that kind of hate…”
By the looks of the IG post, it looks like Cierra’s parents have concerns about how she’ll deal with the hate that came her way because of the racial slur controversy.
“She hasn’t had the chance to process any of this or speak for herself… But we know our daughter. We know her heart. And when she returns, we believe she’ll face this with honesty, growth and grace….” they added.
