Ollie and AD address relationship and reveal how *that* Perfect Match proposal actually happened

During the Love Is Blind reunion, we saw that Ollie from the UK series of the show and AD from the US series had secretly got engaged whilst filming for Perfect Match. And yes, I’m absolutely still freaking out.
The whole thing was very unexpected, and whilst there had been serious evidence the pair were dating and rumours an unexpected engagement would be announced during the reunion, I never thought it would be those two!
AD and Ollie released their podcast episode yesterday, where the Love Is Blind stars revealed exactly how the proposal even happened on Perfect Match. So, let’s find out all the juicy tea!
Ollie explained he’d “always envisioned” proposing to AD “at the beach” and decided to pretend that they were filming promotional material for Perfect Match when, actually, he was planning on proposing.
He admitted it was “hard work” to plan everything without AD suspecting anything, and AD explained that she did have some suspicions that something was going on.
She said: “I get this email saying we’re doing Perfect Match promo together, I’m no genius, but I’ve been in this industry long enough to know we shouldn’t be doing anything together before the show airs.” Ollie added that he had to “pretend” he was also really surprised that they were doing promo together.
AD added that she felt “so chill” about the whole thing and didn’t even buy her dress until the day before shooting, with Ollie having to step in and tell her to “pretend this is a dress you’ll be wearing for the rest of your life or something special.”
Ollie explained that the “hardest part” of the whole thing was trying to get AD to “take it seriously” without telling her what was actually going on, as she laughed that she’d “peeled off” her nails the night before.
AD continued: “We get to the beach, and I’m still in my promo brain like I don’t have any lines, I’m not prepared for this. And then they start feeding us lines, and I’m like, ‘Perfect Match, from the pods to the beach’, and then all of a sudden they’re like ‘, we’ve got to check your mic.'”
Ollie added, “meanwhile, they pass me the ring” and explained he knew that AD had absolutely “no idea” it was going to happen.
Love Is Blind alumni AD carried on recalling her proposal from Ollie on Perfect Match, saying: “Then we walk up the hill, and I look to the right, and there’s this display of beautiful white roses and candles and a heart carved out in the sand, and I’m like ‘what is going on?'”
She added that she was “screaming and crying” with happiness, with the pair laughing that she didn’t actually say yes until they were in the car driving back home.
I genuinely can’t wait to see their relationship blossom in the next season of Perfect Match, and it’s so wholesome that AD and Ollie from Love Is Blind are now engaged!
