People think they’ve figured out the REAL reason Virginia said no to Devin on Love Is Blind

Spoiler alert! Virginia decided to say no to Devin at the altar, and a lot of Love Is Blind viewers are gutted. She seemed totally up for it, but inevitably decided that love isn’t blind in her eyes… Not with Devin anyway. There was a really important moment in the lead-up to the wedding that has everyone convinced she said no for a perfectly acceptable reason.

Virginia said no to Devin on Love Is Blind

Virginia decided to say no to Devin on their Love Is Blind wedding, with many people thinking she blindsided him. Devin, who made no hesitation to say “I Do,” left the venue without speaking to Virginia while Becky consoled him, while she said: “I feel sad, I feel really bad that I hurt Devin.” She then explained how she’s “not ready for marriage.”

They split in the season eight finale, even though she said she’s “very fortunate to have the love of such a beautiful man.” Sadly, Devin had said, “I do think I hit the jackpot. She’s, like, one in a million. Just a smart, loving, kind human being, but also, on the outside she is very beautiful. She has the most stunning smile and her little dimples, and she’s my queen. I’m ready to spend my life with her.”

At the altar, Virginia cried and told Devin, “I love you so much. But I’m just not ready. I’m just not ready.” As Devin began to cry, Virginia continued to apologize and then walked back down the aisle where she hugged her mom and cried. Devin’s sister Kayla could be heard saying that she “just didn’t understand these girls,” while another man said that Devin “didn’t deserve it.”

There was a key moment when it was revealed that Devin had not told Virginia about a cheque given to him as a wedding present. In the lead-up to the big day, Devin never appeared to mention the cheque, with some people branding him a “cheap skate” as a result. Virginia even said herself that it was one reason she felt like she couldn’t trust him properly.

Virginia didn’t specifically mention this in her reasoning though, telling cameras, “I think in a lot of our relationship, I wanted to protect Devin. It was important for me to protect Devin, and I don’t know if that’s a cultural thing, but it’s always been important for me to protect him, so there were topics that even he didn’t want to talk about, like politics. You know what I mean?”

She added: “There were just certain things he just didn’t want me to push on. So, there were just depths of our relationship that we didn’t get to.” Virginia also said that “even with their sexual relationship,” it was an aspect she “didn’t feel like they had fully gotten to explore when it came to their compatibility.”
