Lauren and Dave reunited less than a day after their Love Is Blind split, but what happened?
They didn't even have time to wipe their tears
Lauren and Dave decided to split on Love Is Blind, but awkwardly, they had to reunite for a tense cast trip less than 24 hours later. They had a huge catch-up, and with the break-up out of the way, they had a lot to say that meant they could move forward without too much animosity – yet she still doesn’t want to be friends with Dave, but who can blame her?
Lauren and Dave reunited less than a day after they split
Lauren and Dave had to attend a cast snow-tubing trip the day after they split up on Love Is Blind. Awkward! Lauren has said the timing was “tough” in a US Weekly interview and added: “I felt very emotionally drained. We had broken up within 24 hours [of the outing]. It was fresh. Dave and I ending this relationship was very sad, but I had gotten so close with the other couples and I was sad I couldn’t support them.”
“I knew what was coming and I just was excited to see them and check in and make sure they were good too,” she added. During the get-together, Dave did approach Lauren and gave her what she calls a “semi-apology.” Lauren continued: “There was an element of me being like, ‘I’ve been waiting weeks for you to say this.’ But I remember thinking, ‘I don’t fully believe this.'”
“I think he shut down [during the experiment] and you see me say that at the group hang. I say, ‘I’ve been giving 150 percent, you’ve given me nothing,'” Lauren added. Even Molly, the other connection Dave had in the pods, got involved and “said what the world was thinking,” according to Lauren.
What happened during the awkward reunion?
The remaining couples met up on the Love Is Blind snowtubing event at Boyne Mountain Resort in Minnesota, and some of the people who never matched up also showed up to the party. Aside from Lauren and Dave having an awkward apology and reunion, Molly got involved and basically shut Dave down for his behavior.
Lauren said of co-star Molly calling out Dave: “She killed it. She said to Dave what I think the world has been thinking,” Lauren said of watching that scene. “We have talked, obviously, throughout the last year and I knew that she supported me. [But] I had no idea that she, like, was so on my team. I was so impressed by her.”
