Taylor slams theory she made up story about Daniel to get out of Love Is Blind engagement
'It's really shocking to me how quickly people come to these conclusions'
Amid all the drama with Daniel and Taylor on Love Is Blind, some viewers are convinced that she made up recognising him from before the pods simply because she wasn’t attracted to him and wanted an out.
One person even tweeted: “I don’t know if I believe Taylor. I could tell she wasn’t attracted to him after they kissed. She is looking for a reason to dump him.”
And as convincing as that argument might seem, Taylor is having absolutely none of it and has slammed accusations she’s not actually attracted to Daniel.
Although she still hasn’t explicitly stated she is attracted to him, just saying…
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Taylor opened up about the “harsh opinions” she’s been receiving, explaining: “The overwhelming response that I’ve received is that I’ve made up this whole elaborate story to not look like a bad guy because I just wasn’t attracted to Daniel.
“It’s really shocking to me how quickly people come to these conclusions on your character based on a six-minute clip of a television show.”
Taylor then revealed exactly what happened after they saw each other for the first time, explaining she went and spoke to the producers “immediately.”
She said: “We had a meeting the day after with production [where they told everyone if] we’re going to continue to follow your journey or not, and in that meeting, I expressed these concerns that I was worried that he maybe knew what I looked like, which kind of just compromised the whole idea of the experiment for me.
“It was something I felt like I needed to discuss with him before I felt comfortable continuing on our journey or not. So I voiced those concerns and then the meeting was set up through production.”
After she expressed her concerns, the Love Is Blind producers made Daniel and Taylor meet in the hotel lobby for an on-camera conversation. Taylor admitted that Daniel had “no idea” what they going to discuss.
She continued: “My understanding is that they just told him I needed to speak to him before we decided the next step in our journey together, so he was very confused when he showed up for that conversation.”
