Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have reportedly been feuding behind the scenes, but a big part of that was his Grammy’s stunt. His wife, Bianca Censori, revealed an X-rated outfit at the awards ceremony, and Kim decided to take matters into her own hands and set him strict rules as a result. Now, her business SKIMS has collaborated with Nike – yet Kanye owns some of the company.
SKIMS collaborates with Nike for new collection
SKIMS has collaborated with Nike for a new collection, and it’s actually quite iconic. Nike’s market value has gone up $6.7 billion since working with SKIMS as they try to “win back women” to the brand. As we all know, Kim has done her best to cater for the males too, by working with top football players like Jude Bellingham, but this new collab will focus on womenswear.
Talks between the two brands have been in the works for roughly a year, and it’s a huge deal because Nike has never collaborated with another company before. The Nike x SKIMS line of training apparel, footwear, and accessories will roll out in the U.S. online and at select retail locations, with a global launch planned for 2026.
Skims has previously collaborated with luxury brands, such as Dolce & Gabbana and Fendi, as well as doing Olympic collections for Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022 and Paris 2024. Last year, Skims became the WNBA’s official underwear partner, and it quickly continues to grow – and obviously, Kim’s name being attached to it does wonders!

Although small, Kanye still owns part of his ex-wife’s business. He has a 5 percent stake in the business, but Kim owns most of it after she co-founded Skims with Jens Grade in 2019. In 2023, the company was valued at $4 billion, and Forbes estimates Kardashian’s net worth at $1.7 billion, with the majority of it tied to her equity stake in the clothing brand.
He helped her create the company, and it’s not like Kim doesn’t own some of Yeezy, Kanye’s shoe brand, which has collaborated with Nike’s competition, Adidas. Apparently Kanye sabotaged the new Nike x SKIMS collaboration by making a post ripping into Nike’s sneakers. He wrote, “The new Nike design really moved us / really inspired us at YEEZY.”
Kanye added: “We appreciate you guys work to the team behind these. Thank you for making something new and special, love Ye.” He’s since removed the post, but uploaded it literally hours after Kim’s collab was leaked. Kanye is thought to have had ongoing drama with the sports clothing company for around a decade.
