During Love Island‘s final episode of the most recent season, Liv wore a red dress that bared her midriff. The trend isn’t over yet, as Mormon Wives star Whitney took it upon herself to wear the same look.
Whitney Leavitt wears infamous red dress
Whitney Leavitt wore a red dress with an open cut-out on the midriff area, which showed off her pregnancy bump. The look caused chaos online after she wore it to the Hulu show’s launch.
The outfit sparked controversy and confusion among fans, after she wore a bathing suit with sleeves to cover up more of her body, but wore the revealing dress to the launch.
She shared several snaps wearing the get-up on Instagram, from a group picture with her fellow cast members to a mirror selfie holding her bump, as well as a few photos with her husband.
Love Island’s Liv wore it to finale
Liv wore the same Jaded London Fatale red dress on Love Island. It was always one of Liv’s favorite colors to dress in on the dating show, revealing she is “so excited and wants to wear red”.
It quickly became her exit dress, as she was dumped from the island that same night she wore it. She told her fellow contestants who remained, “I’ll fly back and I’ll watch you all in the final.”
After becoming the first bombshell of the season, she was sent home alongside Daia and Catherine in episode 27. One fan wrote, “sad Liv left but dang girl why you get dumped in that dress #loveislandusa.”
Mormon Lives fans weigh in
Basically, there’s not really many Mormon Lives fans who like the infamous red dress. Having seen the look on both Whitney and Liv, they don’t feel it accentuates their true beauty.
Some think Whitney wore it better as she showed off her bump. One fan wrote: “That dress should be worn nowhere.” Another penned: “It’s just an ugly dress no matter who wears it ðŸ˜.”
“I think it looks better on Whitney/the pregnant belly. I think if we were seeing the dress compared on anyone else besides Whitney, it would be cute,” reacted a fellow viewer.
