Mimi returned from Love Island’s Casa Amor choosing to stay loyal to Ayo. However, he discovered a connection with Jess, leaving her single. Now, she’s pulling out all the stops to get him back.
She was chosen to be a wife by many of the Love Island boys. There’s no doubt Mimi isn’t marriage material, but the way she’s moving in the ITV villa is being hailed “embarrassing”.
Love Island’s Mimi chosen by Josh
Josh is a bombshell who walked into the villa and mainly had eyes for Mimi. Okay, so he did have a connection with Grace, who he snogged in the Snog, Marry, Pie game, but he threw it in the trash for Mimi.
Despite going full speed ahead with Mimi, who admits she’s a slow burner, he knew something was off. Josh has repeatedly asked Mimi and Ayo if there’s anything going on between them still.
Both Ayo and Mimi have shut his suspicions down. But when Josh got angry that Mimi chose to snog Ayo in the game, she said his response was “putting her off” – and that was all the clarity she needed.
She insists past with Ayo is ‘done’
Mimi told Josh that her romance with Ayo is “done for now” while kissing her new partner in bed. However, private chats with her ex were flirty, yet involved setting boundaries to be respectful.
Josh was certainly not happy about her pulling Ayo for a chat, and asked his fellow islander if there’s anything he should know. They chatted “on a level,” with Ayo even saying he hears why Josh is mad.
After Ayo ditched Mimi for Jess, viewers crossed their fingers she’d move on with Josh, who has made her breakfast, kissed her in the jacuzzi, and wined and dined her, but she can’t ignore her true feelings.
She needs to be honest with poor Josh, who has been left in the dark about the true nature of her “chemistry” (Mimi’s words) with Ayo. Even Ayo hasn’t expressed wanting to reignite the spark with Mimi.
Mimi’s actions are ’embarrassing’
Mimi’s actions in the villa, including asking Joey Essex to help pull Ayo for a chat so she could speak to him in private, have certainly raised eyebrows. Although they’re slightly embarrassing, it is Love Island.
It is the place where people in ‘couples’ aren’t always in relationships, meaning it is their birth right to do as they please. In Mimi’s case, it’s clear her heart lies with Ayo, and she’s certainly made that clear.
Both Mimi and Ayo have been honest that their feelings still exist, but that they’ve been pushed aside out of respect for their couples with Josh and Jessica. However, the move to invite Ayo to the terrace is mad!
She’s emotionally mature and wifey material, yet Mimi is somehow chasing a man who never publicly made it known he wants her. Surely it should be Ayo grafting for her, considering he didn’t stay loyal…
