It’s official – the models, semi-pro footballers, influencers, beauty techs, and dancers are filing into the villa because Love Island is back. The hit dating show returns for series 11 on June 3 and Ayo Odukoya is hanging up his footie boots for a shot at romance on Love Island.
As the ladies and gents of Love Island series 11 are announced, fans are keen to get to know everything they can about them, naturally. As the days draw closer, more details are teased including Ayo’s towering height. He says he’s bringing “excitement and joy” to the ITV show.
Love Island: Ayo’s height
Ayo is one of the original Islanders to appear in Love Island series 11.
He’s 25 and plays as a striker for Redbridge Football Club, as well as being a model.
He believes he’s “somebody everyone would take to,” speaking to ITV.
It looks like Ayo backs himself, as he adds how he’s “very respectful” and oozes “good enough energy.”
Just when Love Island series 11 star Ciaran Davies was saying his height was his flex, in walks Ayo.
Ciaran stands at 6 ft 5.
However, Ayo is dubbed a “gentle giant” as reveals he’s 6 ft 6.
He tells cameras he “gets attention when out” and “isn’t just a pretty face.”
Speaking of his tallness Ayo thinks “girls like the height,” he adds: “a lot of them shouldn’t be talking to someone as tall as me but they like the height.”
Ayo is the same height as series 7 star, Liam Reardon, who won the show three years ago.
Has there been a taller Islander?
While Ayo and Ciaran of series 11 are very tall, they’re not the tallest Love Islanders to ever appear on the show.
In 2019, basketball player Ovie Soko appeared in series 5.
He stands at just over 6 ft 7.
Ayo’s not used to competition
Juding by Ayo’s introduction tapes, he’s not holding back when it comes to being real.
He tells cameras he “gets jealous,” adding: “What’s mine is mine.”
He also said: “I’m not comparing it when to comes to dating because I’ve never really had this competition.”
Ayo revealed: “If you’re in a relationship with me it’s what they call the sweet life.”
He adds that his type is: “Brunette, nice bum.”
The 25-year-old is looking for love and adds: “I don’t really like being outside too much, I’ve been outside recently and it’s not fun outside! I do prefer to be indoors chilling with that person I can do stuff with.”
