Where the iconic Lizzie McGuire cast are now 25 years on, from Adam Lamberg to Hallie Todd

Can you believe Lizzie McGuire turned 25 this year? I suddenly feel so old. Starring Hilary Duff as Elizabeth McGuire, the show premiered on 12th January 2001 and ran for three years until 14th February, 2004, with a movie in the middle of that too. The high-school drama is one of the most iconic and nostalgic Disney Channel shows of all time, so here’s a look at where the cast are now.

Hilary Duff is having her moment. She’s made a major comeback to music and his currently on tour. This feels like such a full-circle moment. After her 2015 album, Duff stopped making music for an entire decade. Then, she signed with Atlantic Records in 2025, released her album Luck… or Something in February 2026 and started her world tour in June, with dates in London, Manchester and Glasgow. In terms of acting, she starred as Sophie Tompkins in How I Met Your Father. And her love life? She’s married to singer Matthew Koma, who she has three daughters with. Duff also has one son with her ex Mike Comrie. 

Lalaine

After playing Miranda Sanchez, Lalaine has completely disappeared from the public eye. She stayed in acting for a bit, starring in Easy A, Off the Clock, Her Best Move and Promised Land, but now keeps a low profile and has her Instagram set to private. Sanchez was arrested in July 2007 and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine. She pleaded guilty and her charge was removed after she completed a drug rehabilitation program as part of her plea deal. 

Adam Lamberg

Adam Lamberg, who played Gordo, has quit acting too. He starred in a few films including When Do We Eat? and Beautiful Loser before quitting acting for good in 2008. Now 42 years old, he was due to reprise his role as David “Gordo” Gordon in the Lizzie McGuire revival in 2019, but it got axed. Before joining the reboot, he had a pretty normal job working at the Irish Arts Center in Manhattan, New York, which showcases Irish culture through theatre performances.

Matt actor Jake Thomas now works as a commercial photographer, director and voiceover actor in Los Angeles after mostly quitting acting. After Lizzie McGuire, he had a few roles in Cory in the House, Storytellers, S.W.A.T., ER, The Secret Life of the American Teenager and House. His most recent roles were in NCIS in 2024, and he voiced a character in the video game MindsEye. He’s still pretty active on Instagram too, with over 150k followers. 

Robert Carradine

The actor who played McGuire father, Robert Carradine, sadly passed away in February 2026 from suicide, after a two-decade battle with Bipolar Disorder. His biggest roles after Lizzie McGuire were in Django Unchained and Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Doubt. He also co-hosted King of the Nerds from 2013 to 2015. Carradine was married to Edie Mani from 1990 to 2018 and has three kids, daughters Ever and Marika and son Ian.

Hallie Todd, who played Lizzie’s mum Jo, is now an acting coach, producer and writer. She has her own LA acting school, Hallie Todd Studios, where she’s been teaching children and adults for over two decades. On top of that, she has a production company with her husband, Glenn Withrow, and their daughter, Ivy, called In House Media. Their biggest project was the 2020 American sports film The Last Champion, which they wrote and produced together, and Todd also starred in.
