Man killed his girlfriend and her two children after she ‘told him her ex was better in bed’

A man has been accused of killing his girlfriend and her two children after she admitted to him that she had cheated. He has claimed he “blacked out” before the incident happened. 

29-year-old Juan Orona turned himself into police, after he is said to have shot his girlfriend, Nohani Flores-Osuna, and her two children, Maiya, 16, and Noah, who is of nursery age. As per 8News, he now faces three murder with a deadly weapon charges, as well as charges for firing the gun inside an occupied structure. 

Orona has admitted he confronted his girlfriend, who he had been seeing for three to six months, at an apartment complex in Las Vegas, after he had spotted her car near the car of her ex-boyfriend. He’s claimed his girlfriend then admitted to being unfaithful, and told him her ex was “better in bed”.

Orona then told police he “blacked out”, before he found himself holding his 9mm Glock handgun in the bathroom, and Flores-Osuna and her two children were dead on the floor. He claimed all he remembered from the blackout was Flores-Osuna and the children yelling at him. 

“Juan confirmed he confronted Nohani about infidelity with [her ex] and she confirmed she had been having sexual relations with [him], and he was better in bed than Juan,” an arrest report said, as per the publication.

“After hearing this Juan stated he blacked out, and when he came to, he was holding his Glock 9mm handgun in the bathroom and Nohani and her children’s bodies were on the ground. When asked why he was in possession of his firearm, Juan stated it was for his protection in case [the ex boyfriend] came to their apartment with the intent of harming him.”

Orona has not denied the shooting, but has said he can’t remember what happened, or why. When he was found by police, he also had a gunshot wound to his abdomen, which is unexplained. He was taken to hospital for treatment, and now remains in the Clark County Detention Center. 

At a court hearing on Thursday, Orona’s court-appointed public defender asked to delay a bail decision to allow time to review the case. He is scheduled to return to court on September 9th.
