Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland grew close at Borussia Dortmund

This love story of the ages began in 2020 when both Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland played for Borussia Dortmund. They crafted a reputation of being an indestructible dream team, and the friendship grew off the pitch at the same time. They continued their friendship even when against each other on teams like Manchester City and Real Madrid.

“Bellingham is three years younger than me. That’s crazy, he is incredible,” Haaland said in 2021.

In the same year, Bellingham gushed: “I stand here every week and tell you how great he is. The player you see isn’t a fluke. He works his socks off every day and he’s an even better guy than he is a striker.”

Both parties have continued to uplift each other ever since, with Bellingham saying his mate is “really encouraging” and a “top guy.”

They’re constantly cuddling, and there was even a kiss

If you go on Twitter or TikTok right now, there are dozens – and I mean DOZENS – of pictures and videos of the two football players.

Physical affection is big in football anyway, but they’re constantly hugging and fooling around together. Haaland even gave his buddy a peck on the cheek during an interview. Aw.

People are OBSESSED with them

The internet is an odd place; we know this, but it’s exceedingly odd when it comes to platonic male friendships. People have invented all sorts of things about Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland’s friendship, including fanfiction with names like Dressing Room, What I Want, and Dirty Little Secret. It’s filthy stuff.

On TikTok, the strangeness has taken video form, with people claiming that Bellingham’s “omega pheromones” are going to send Haaland into a rut. I don’t know about that, but the videos set to the Heated Rivalry sound are fun.

One person wrote: “Imagine the scenes… It’s the 127th minute, still 2-2, Haaland is running up to clip the ball in from the side with nothing in his way… then Jude appears in front of him. He drops everything and they start making out passionately. The whole crowd cheers.”

“Haaland can catch a break, he is going from facing his worst enemy to facing the love of his life,” someone else said.

Another added: “You all think it’s a joke, but wait until Saturday. England’s most powerful weapon against Haaland is Jude, but only because he gets lost in his eyes.”

Though England has since seen their dreams obliterated by Argentina, take solace in knowing Jude got to spend some time with his best buddy.
