The shortest Love Is Blind engagements of all time, that didn’t even make it to the altar
Quite tragic, really
In the most recent season of Love Is Blind on Netflix we’ve had some of the shortest engagements the show has ever seen. No, I’m not talking couples who made it to the altar but said no (even though there was plenty of that too), I mean those who didn’t even make it to the wedding day.
Over the many, many seasons of Love Is Blind there have been now, absolutely loads of couples have packed it all in pretty much straight after the pods. There have been dramatic showdowns, awkward realisations and a whole lot of drama. Here’s a rundown of the shortest Love Is Blind engagements in the show’s history.
Marissa and Ramses – Around five weeks

via Netflix
Ramses ended his season seven engagement with Marissa days before the wedding. He decided that he was not ready for marriage.
Chelsea and Jimmy – Around five weeks

via Netflix
Chelsea and Jimmy will always be my favourite Love Is Blind couple, despite not even making it work. They so very nearly made it to the altar, but called the wedding off just days before after explosive arguments. They never really stopped arguing, to be honest.
Madison and Joe – Around four weeks

via Netflix
In season nine, Joe made it all the way to his suit fitting before calling it off with Madison. As things progressed, the couple realised it wasn’t right for them. Joe previously told Madison that she was not his “usual type,” and he described this to producers as “thinner women.”

Joe then made it to his wedding suit fitting, before packing it all in. He told Madison he wasn’t her “person” and that was that.
Hannah and Nick – About four weeks

via Netflix
Hannah ended her relationship with Nick, after she made the decision he wasn’t ready for marriage. Hannah broke off their engagement and coldly told Nick that he didn’t match her intellectually, creatively, financially, or any other way.
Annie and Nick – Around three weeks

via Netflix
Annie and Nick broke things off before the wedding, when Annie started to doubt Nick’s feelings. She heard some of the other women’s perspectives on what happened between Nick and his former pod connection Kait. She then didn’t know how serious his feelings truly were.
Jackie and Marshall – Around three weeks

via Netflix
Season four’s Jackie and Marshall got engaged, and made it to the retreat. But, shortly after returning, it was all over. Jackie said she wanted Marshall to be “more aggressive” with her, which was the first red flag. She then didn’t show up to her wedding dress fitting, and instead was meeting up with Josh, who she’d previously had a connection with in the pods.
Monica and Stephen – About three weeks

via Netflix
Monica and Stephen. The texts scandal. Honestly, what a mess. “I discovered the texts just by total coincidence,” Monica explained on the show. He had been sending “dirty kink” messages to another woman, so needless to say, the relationship was over.
Alex and Tim – Roughly three weeks

via Netflix
Alex and Tim were shaky throughout season seven. They had an argument off-camera during the retreat, but patched things up. Later, it was all over, not long after the friends and family visits.
Lauren and David – Around two weeks

via Netflix
After the Mexico retreat, things started to get a bit strange between Lauren and David during season eight. He wouldn’t introduce her to his family, and David found out Lauren was casually hooking up with a different guy shortly before filming. He couldn’t get over it, and broke up with her.
Brittany and Kenneth – About two weeks

via Netflix
Brittany and Kenneth returned from the retreat, and that’s when things started to break down. Remember how he was just always on his phone? Yeah, that.
Laura and Jeramey – Around two weeks

via Netflix
Jeramey will forever be one of the biggest Love Is Blind villains in history. His relationship with Laura broke down after he was flirting and jet-ski riding with fellow pod dater, Sarah Ann. Remember when they rode off into the sunset on jet-skis together? Or when Laura said she’d checked Jeramey’s location and it was Sarah Ann’s house? We won’t forget.
Taylor and JP – A week

via Netflix
Taylor had a pretty terrible time with JP after their engagement. Their relationship broke down not long after the pods, after JP made comments about Taylor wearing “too much” makeup. She later clarified there was a further communication breakdown and not just his hurtful comments, but they were still calling things off before the retreat had wrapped.
Irina and Zack – Four days

via Netflix
God remember life before Zack and Bliss? What a time. For a while, we very nearly different have one of our now all time fav Love Is Blind couples. Zack first got engaged to Irina during season four, but four days into the retreat she ended things. Thank god really, because he then popped the question to Bliss, and now they have a baby together.
Shaina and Kyle – Just days

via Netflix
Shaina and Kyle made it to the season two retreat, before ending things. Shaina picked Kyle in the pods, a man she clearly didn’t want to be with, just because she hadn’t bagged Shayne. She then had Kyle break his eight-year vegetarianism before ditching him at the retreat. Brutal.
Diamond and Carlton – Just days

via Netflix
Diamond and Carlton’s relationship was one of the messiest elements of Love Is Blind season one. They got engaged, but Carlton had kept it a secret from Diamond that he is bisexual. Diamond didn’t appreciate being kept in the dark, at all.
Next thing you know, on the retreat he’s saying she’s “shown her true colours” and she’s whipped her engagement ring off. They had a huge slinging match, he chucked the ring in the pool and called her a b*tch. “F*ck you, f*cker” was Diamond’s only reply before she stormed off around the pool.
Kacie and Patrick – Just a few hours

via Netflix
Season nine’s Kacie and Patrick probably had the most tragic engagement the show has ever seen. Within just hours of the reveal, she said she didn’t want to marry him.
“He deserves somebody better than me. He’s not a bad-looking guy in any sense, but he deserves somebody that is so obsessed with him,” Kacie said on the show. “I just, unfortunately, don’t think my attraction to him is gonna grow that much, and it sucks.”
