Apparently pay differs for Love Is Blind cast members, and is down to how successful they are
No wonder they’re all desperate for air time
It’s been reported pay is different for members of the Love Is Blind cast. How much they earn for being on the show depends on how successful they are.
According to journalist Chrissy Clark, who has spoken to cast members, pay for the show is based on how far someone gets. So basically, if someone falls in love with you and manage to long it out all the way to the weddings, you’ll make more money. No wonder so many people seem to push through with relationships we can all tell are doomed!
As part of a TikTok, Chrissy broke down a contract cast members receive and sign when agreeing to be on the show. In there, is a table which includes the pay structure.
The Love Is Blind pay structure breakdown:
The video claimed cast members make $5,000 for initially going to the pods. Then, for each further part of the experiment, cast members get more money. They apparently get a further $2,500 for the getaway after the pods, and $3,000 for the “reality” part. The reality section sees cast members living together and meeting friends and family.
A further $1,000 is paid if you make it to a wedding, and $1,500 for an appearance at the reunion. Chrissy joked that it “made sense” that AD and Clay went to their wedding in season six, despite it looking as though neither of them were going to say yes.
It’s previously been reported that cast members are paid per week whilst on the show, which aligns with previous claims. As part of a lawsuit he filed against the show, contestant Jeremy Hartwell said Netflix pays roughly $1,000 per week.
