Love Is Blind’s Ali opens up after *that* fight with Anton over disappearing alcohol

‘That is an insane amount’

The latest episodes of Love Is Blind have dropped and revealed a huge issue in Ali and Anton’s relationship, which led to a massive fight about Anton’s drinking. She’s explained how she feels about it now in a new interview.

Anton and Ali have had a fairly relaxed journey so far compared to a lot of the other Love Is Blind season nine couples. But in episode 10, they had a huge argument about Anton’s drinking.

In one scene, Ali went to grab a beer from their fridge, but realised there was no sign of the 12-pack. She confronted Anton about it, who denied drinking the rest and said he gave a couple to Patrick. Things went from bad to worse when Ali realised there was no sign of their tequila either.

“That’s a lot of alcohol,” she said in a new interview with Swoon. “Like, to me, that is an insane amount of alcohol.”

She explained her concern, saying: “It wasn’t only for his drinking, but ultimately, for myself in the future.”

The 29-year-old nurse bonded with Anton over their shared sense of humour and immigrant background. When she left the pods and started living with him, things still didn’t feel normal as they were always filming.

“It’s such a different reality than what actual reality is. You know, we are back in our lives with our friends and our phones and our jobs, but the reality of it is having cameras around all the time, having all this chaos going on, it’s not really real life.”

It wasn’t until they had moved in together that Ali discovered Anton drank more than she did. The couple both work nights, and after their first shift back at work, Anton had two beers. This bothered Ali, and she brought it up with the other girls at the next couples party.

“My biggest thought process during all of that is: Is this actually the norm? Does he not realise that this is kind of an intense amount of drinking?” she said.

“It was more so just trying to figure it out, and see if there’s something that maybe needed intervention, you know?”
