Yikes! Nicki Minaj is in serious debt and at risk of losing LA mansion after Cardi B beef

Her flop era?

Nicki Minaj has been in scandal after scandal this year, but her latest drama is her most serious yet. The Grammy-nominated rapper is in massive debt – and now her LA mansion is at risk of getting snatched up.

Kenneth Petty, Nicki Minaj’s controversial husband, was sued after the alleged assault of bodyguard Thomas Weidenmuller. In March last year, $526,110.74 was approved to be awarded to the bodyguard, after Nicki and Kenneth both failed to appear at court. A year and a half later, the money still hasn’t been paid.

Thomas went to court last week, claiming that Nicki’s house is worth enough to pay off her debt.

In quotes sourced by US Weekly, he claimed Nicki’s LA house has 11 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms.

“The property’s current fair market value is appraised at $20 million, yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption. That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment, plus accrued interest and enforcement costs,” he told the court.

He added: “Here, there is no doubt that the sale of the dwelling would satisfy the entire judgment, with millions to spare.”

Back in 2019, Thomas claimed Kenneth punched him in the jaw at her Berlin show after one of the other security guards got in trouble for allowing a man on stage. He also alleged that Nicki threw her shoe at him and asked, “who do you think you are?”.

Thomas alleged the damage to his jaw meant he had to undergo eight surgeries to his face, including getting five metal plates put in.

Thomas’ lawyer told the court: “Although it is regrettable that the extraordinary measure of forcing the sale of Minaj’s dwelling is required, that result is entirely the product of her intransigence in not making payment. Minaj is a global music superstar, estimated to have a net worth of anywhere between $150-190 million, and is reportedly the highest paid female rap star in the world.”

He stressed the reason he’s coming for her house, saying: “There is little doubt that she is highly capable of paying the judgment in full and, yet, she has refused to do so despite multiple written requests for payment and levies served upon several of her suspected creditors.”
