Ned’s Declassified’s Daniel Lee gives ‘crushing’ update on homeless co-star Tylor Chase
‘We shed tears’
A viral video of Tylor Chase revealed the Ned’s Declassified actor is now living on the streets of LA. After discussing the situation of his “old friend” on a podcast episode last week, Daniel Curtis Lee visited Tylor yesterday.
At the end of the last Ned’s Declassified Pod episode, Daniel, who played Cookie in the Nickelodeon series, said he was aware of the viral video and wanted to visit Tylor as soon as possible. In a new TikTok, he shared what the experience was like.
“I don’t know why I thought it was going to be sunshine and roses…there were a lot of emotions brought up on the patio of that 7/11,” he said.
@danielcurtislee Drove out to Riverside, searched for an hour, and finally found my former castmate Tylor Chase. Couldn’t have done it without @lethallalli and his mom Paula guiding me on where to look. Out of respect — please don’t video him if you come across him. Just send positive energy. 🙏 #TylorChase #NedsDeclassified #mentalhealth #danielcurtislee #HumanConnection
Although Daniel criticised the original viral video of Tylor at first, he has now clarified he’s on good terms with LetHallAlli, the influencer who made everyone aware of Tylor’s situation.
“Lalli, you’re a saint man,” Daniel said. “I’m sorry if it sounded like I was upset with you on the pod, he’s so blessed to have people like you looking after him.”
The gym influencer’s GoFundMe raised over $1,000 before being shut down at the request of Tylor’s mum, Paula. She used the money to buy Tylor new clothes and shoes, then put the rest of it in an account handled by his mum.
Both Lalli and Paula helped Daniel find Tylor, outside of a 7/11 in an area of LA called Riverside. He explained the vibes around where he met Tylor, which he said had a lot of “shady” characters hanging around.

“There are pretty bad actors in his life that are giving him access to things that are clearly not helping him,” Daniel said.
The actual meeting went pretty well – Daniel said Tylor immediately recognised him and was happy to see his childhood friend. They talked about old memories and reminisced on what it was like working together, though Daniel said he could tell Tylor was not all there.
“He was in and out of coherence, he kept dazing in and out,” he said.
Since Tylor went viral, lots of people have been trying to find him around LA and posting him on TikTok. Daniel told his followers he doesn’t support this at all.
“Please stop putting these cameras in his face guys, please,” he said.
Although Daniel has made it clear that Tylor won’t be joining the Ned’s Declassified Pod any time soon, he did offer him some other Nickelodeon based work opportunities. Daniel also shared Nostalgia Con are willing to fly Tylor out to do conventions with the rest of the Ned’s Declassified cast. But he said he doesn’t believe Tylor is in the right state to be taking part in any of these appearances.
Daniel ended the video by saying he plans to visit Tylor again, and continue to try and help him, although he’s not sure how.
“All I could do was tell him that I love him and that it’s going to be alright.”
