Louis Tomlinson speaks out about dating Zara McDermott and gets deep into his real feelings

Louis Tomlinson has spoken out about dating Zara McDermott for the first time and it’s safe to say things are going very well between them.

They’ve been together for at least seven months now after first being spotted together at a hotel in Suffolk in March, but they’ve only just started speaking about each other publicly.

Last week, Zara posted an adorable pic at one of his gigs captioned “My incredible boyfriend”. Now, Louis has gushed about how happy and in love he is, and how that inspired his new song Lemonade.

Speaking on Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO podcast, he said: “I’m a deeply, deeply romantic person. It’s also easy to be romantic when you are a creative. I really struggle to write in a fictional sense, I really struggle.”

“For me, I have to have been living it, it has to be real to me. So, if I wasn’t feeling so good, like right now, I wasn’t feeling so in love, the record probably would have a slightly different feel to it.”

The new track is different to his past ones, and his intention was just to make everyone “feel good”.

“I know that’s a really cliché and obvious thing to say, but I’m not sure some of my other music did that. It made you feel, it was honest, it was painful at times, but it didn’t feel good,” he added.

“So, I think now I’ve got this almost new sense of life, a new sense of happiness, and purpose, and fulfilment, all those things.”

The pair got together earlier this year after Zara split from her long-term boyfriend Sam Thompson, who were together for five years and had a house together in London.

They went public with their relationship in June, and she’s reportedly now moved into Louis’ North London mansion.

“They’re smitten and she has been spending all of her time at his place, she’s pretty much moved in,” an insider told The Mirror. “Zara has even started making her social media videos from there instead of her parents.”
