‘WTF?!’: Fitness influencer slammed for squatting 110kg while baby crawls beneath bar
‘Immediately the f*ck no this is legitimately insane’
A popular fitness influencer has been slammed for appearing to squat 110kg while her baby crawls on the floor beneath the bar.
Krissy Cela, a UK-based content creator, uploaded a video of herself performing squats on Instagram as her 10-month-old baby, Arlo, sits beside the rack.
The 30-year-old has over 7.2m followers across Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, where she regularly posts workouts and lifestyle videos.
However, the squatting video uploaded on Monday 29th September sparked outrage among some, who took to Reddit to share their disbelief.
One mum said: “I would NEVER do this, not even with my child in the same room. This is incredibly selfish all for content”.
Another said they’re usually “not an advocate for mom shaming but in this instance I am all for it. Wtf.”
Others expressed safety concerns, with some users questioning whether the action could amount to child endangerment. Another joked: “Hello CPS [Child Protection Services] omg.”
Reddit users referenced their own weightlifting mishaps, with a few describing accidents occurring at much lower weights than the influencer appeared to be squatting with her baby.
