Drag Race’s Trixie and Katya savagely clap back at Violet Chachki calling them ‘so weird’

Trixie Mattel and Katya have been keeping us well and truly fed. The iconic duo announced they would be doing a big RuPaul’s Drag Race season seven rewatch and discussing all the episodes with behind the scenes goss – and it’s really been living up to the hype. Trixie and Katya have been getting their fellow season seven queens from the show on to send in voice notes for it, and back in July when this was first being revealed there was a bit of drama with Drag Race winner Violet Chachki who called Trixie and Katya “so weird” for how they approached this. Now, in the latest episode, Trixie and Katya address the Drag Race drama with Violet Chachki and clapped back in the best way possible.

The original saga

As I reported back in July in the article that Trixie and Katya just said they read in the latest episode, Violet Chachki made comments about her Drag Race sisters that caused a bit of drama.

Speaking to Gottmik on the No Gorge podcast Violet Chachki hosts with her bestie, Violet Chachki explained how Trixie and Katya didn’t reach out to her directly but instead she was reached out to by one of their production team. Violet explained “[Trixie and Katya] were so weird. They had their assistant send me a DM asking if I would send them a voice [note].

“It was like, ‘What the f*ck?’ You guys, call me. You have my f*cking phone. Having your assistant reach out when you’re friends with somebody is so like… ‘who do you think you are, girl?’ Text me!”

Gottmik then claimed “They do it all the time”, to which Violet responded “I would never have my assistant or producer reach out to someone I consider a friend. It’s so weird.”

In the latest episode of The Bald and the Beautiful as the pair recapped season seven, Trixie and Katya were discussing Violet Chachki making her dress for the ugliest dress runway category. Trixie says “I saw a certain article – did you see what she said on here pod about us asking her for a voice note? ‘Who do you think you are?’ Don’t you think that’s a little crazy?”

Katya responds “I was like, ‘girl shut the f*ck up.’ Girl, you don’t call me back.” Trixie says: “An assistant reached out. If I want to talk to you then I might talk to Gottmik!”

Regarding how well the pair have done successfully, Katya says “Girl, check the stats. You [Trixie] would never brag about your position, but it’s the truth.” Trixie then says “We’re recapping Drag Race, sorry for including you.” Katya replies “I know, did anyone else make a passive aggressive public statement about being contacted not by us!?”

Trixie then responds: “I know girl, what the f*ck, like whatever. We had to exhume Max and she sent us a voice note.” Katya says “Stay mad Brenda.”

They do both however agree they still love Violet. So at least there’s that.
