‘Leave her alone’: The Phillies dad is now supporting the ‘Karen’ who stole ball from his son
Wait, what?
The dad who went viral after a so-called “Phillies Karen” stole a baseball from his son has suddenly flipped the switch and is now supporting the woman in question. I’m very, very confused right now.
Let’s rewind. This weekend, a clip of a woman went viral. It showed her snatching a baseball from a father in a crowd, who had caught it and given it to his son. Phillies outfielder Harrison Bader hit the home run against the Miami Marlins, at LoanDepot Park.
Drew Feltwell then found himself in the middle of the argument on Saturday, when he retrieved the ball and gave it to his son. The “Phillies Karen” then marched over and said a few choice words, before Drew gave in, and handed her the ball instead.
After the clip went massive, she was dubbed the “Phillies Karen” because of her reaction. At first, father Drew shared his side of the story and called it a “vulgar” rant, and added: “I hope that ball meant a lot to her.”

‘I don’t know if she deserved that much’
But now, he’s said the woman in question, who has only been falsely identified, has had enough stick and that people should leave her alone. Yes, he’s changed his tune!
“Please don’t do anything to that lady,’’ Feltwell told USA TODAY Sports. “Leave it alone. You know, somebody knows her and can talk to her, that’s different. But God, I don’t want people breaking in their house and stuff like that. The internet already messed her up pretty good.”

He later added that she didn’t deserve all the hate she has got from the videos. He said: “I could say something like ‘she got what she deserved’, but I don’t know if she deserved that much.”
Hmm, considering she literally nabbed the ball off a child, I’m not sure I agree.
