‘The cast were frisky’: Love Island bosses blame this ‘feral’ couple for wildest season yet
Everyone was getting it on this year, but this couple started the trend
Love Island has always been a little bit x-rated, but the show returned to its roots for season 12, providing us with spicy moment after spicy moment.
Practically every couple was getting down and dirty in season 12 of Love Island. Harrison Solomon got jiggy with Lauren Wood on more than one occasion, sparking a Women’s Aid statement as people condemned his mistreatment of Toni. Dejon Noel-Williams and Meg Moore also spent some quality time beneath the sheets, and people swore they spotted Yasmin Pettet and Ben Holborough heading for some cheeky alone time. Even outside of the deed itself, the challenges seemed way more sexual than usual.
There was so much sex I feared Bonnie Blue was going to manifest in the villa, but according to producers, one particular couple started the trend.
Right, so who is to blame for Love Island’s x-rated moments?

Though x-rated moments on reality TV are bound to happen, after all, you’re sticking a group of stupidly attractive people together for extended periods, producers told The Sun that Harry Cookseley and Helena Ford were to blame for the uptick in sexual activity.
“It’s been a long while since there’s been as much action in the bedroom as this year,” a source said. “When Harry and Helena went into the Hideaway just 56 hours into the series, it set the ball rolling, and it’s been a particularly feral year.”
First and foremost, Love Island bosses have to protect both viewers at home and the people on the island. So, they “stocked up” on condoms to prevent any unwanted consequences from a reality TV romp.

The source added, “There’s been duvet tents most nights. Obviously duty of care is paramount so producers stocked up on condoms to ensure there were enough for the run.”
There are a bunch of rules surrounding sex in the villa besides wearing a condom, which is a mandatory step to take if you want to get frisky. Islanders are also prohibited from from drunk sex, and any form of self-pleasure is also banned. After the event, counsellors are on hand and emergency contraceptives are available.
