People find the exact moment where the Love Island villa split happened, and who caused it

‘It’s like they’ve singled me out as the threat’

Let’s call a spade a spade: The Love Island villa is at war. It is truly and utterly a civil war, two firm camps that loathe each other and every time they pretend otherwise we all know they’re faking it. To break it down, we have Shakira, Toni, Yasmin and various other potential allies. Jamie and Cach, namely. And potentially maybe now Harry. Then we have the villains – Meg, Helena, Dejon, Angel, Ty and Blu. Conor and Megan are float voters. There is so much chat in the villa about where this came from – with Toni and Shakira frequently saying that Meg and co were not welcoming towards them. Meg denies, but what actually happened? People think they’ve found the exact moment the Love Island 2025 villa split – and it’s very illuminating.

It all happened in episode two. Yep, THAT early on.

Why wasn’t this in the Grafties?

In a video on TikTok seen here the clip shows the exact moment people think the Love Island 2025 villa divide actually began. If you cast your minds back, you will remember that Shakira was faced with a difficult decision of basically having to make sure that lads wanted to recouple with her or she’d get dumped. This meant she had to spend a lot of the first day with her grafting boots well and truly on. This all happened because Toni had recoupled with Ben – who Shakira originally was with.

Shakira says to Toni that night “I’m not even joking, getting ready then, the vibes felt so off. It’s not enough to say something about because nothing’s been said but it’s the energy.”

It then cuts to all the other girls talking about Shakira and Meg says “the ball’s in Shakira’s court and she’s been grafting her f*cking arse off.” Helena says “I think she fancies everyone doesn’t she? She probably fancies the plants.”

It cuts back to Shakira, who is worried she’s about to be dumped from the Island. She says “I’ve been grafting, but I don’t think the girls appreciate that. But equally, what’s stopping them from doing the same thing? I’ve been here a day and think I have a right to get to know everybody and so does everyone else. I think it’s rubbed certain people up the wrong way. It’s like they’ve singled me out as the threat.

Toni and Shakira cheers their drinks, and the other girls then slag it off. People are convinced this is the moment the villa split began. It’s so interesting to note that Shakira was nearly dumped because of Toni, but never had beef with each other and became the closest duo. The same can’t be said for the other camp in the villa split of Love Island 2025.
