Lauren has shockingly defended Harrison’s behaviour inside the Love Island villa
Has she forgotten how he treated her?
After Harrison was called out by Women’s Aid over his behaviour in the Love Island villa, Lauren has now shockingly defended him.
The women’s charity told The Tab we are still seeing “unhealthy patterns of behaviour” on reality TV shows, which show “just how steeped in misogyny and sexism our society still is”.
It came after the footballer was getting to know both Toni and Lauren at the same time, and telling them both different things. He then slept with Lauren behind Toni’s back.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan about the statement, Lauren said: “I think it was blown out of proportion. He’s made a mistake, but everyone makes mistakes, like he’s gone about it in the wrong way. He knows he’s done wrong.”
“I think it was just the timing of everything. But like he said, he’s not a bad person. Everyone in the villa knows that and that’s why it upset me the whole situation so much because I knew deep down he never meant it in a malicious way.”

“He would never want to hurt someone, he just unfortunately didn’t communicate with me how he felt and it’s a shame he’s been portrayed in this way, because that’s just not him. And obviously for his family to see that it’s just not nice when they know him properly, know that that isn’t him as a person.”
She then reminded everyone that each show is only an hour long, so we shouldn’t judge people on the small snippets we see.

“And with it being only an hour, we’ve not watched it back, we don’t know what has actually been shown to get all of this. They see one hour a day,” she continued.
Her reaction is quite shocking, considering she was the one who broke down in tears on Love Island over his behaviour. They’re now happily dating on the outside, so she’s clearly forgiven him.
