Explaining Trisha Paytas baby conspiracy theory that circulates online whenever a celeb dies

Trisha Paytas recently welcomed her third child, announcing yesterday that her and her husband Moses Hacmon have named their son Aquaman Moses Paytas-Hacmon – to suitable celebration from those of us who’ve been obsessed with Trisha Paytas and her carry on since the dawn of the internet. Aquaman is Trisha Paytas’ third baby, following Malibu Barbie in 2022 and Elvis in 2024. Not only is Aquaman her third child, but it’s the third time Trisha Paytas has seen the online conspiracy theory arise regarding her children that every time she has a new baby, a celebrity dies and is reincarnated. This has literally happened every single time she has had a child, and it just happened again.

It started with Queen Elizabeth II 

When Queen Elizabeth II passed away in 2022, Trisha Paytas was the centre of an online conspiracy where people thought that the Queen got reincarnated into her baby Malibu. This was all over Twitter and TikTok at the time. People made so many memes of the reincarnated soul zooming across the Atlantic. It was wild.

Then came Pope Francis

Not that literally any of this makes sense, but this one makes the LEAST sense. Because if we’re going down a crazy rabbit hole, at least let us do it with some timings that lineup. Obviously Pope Francis was ill for a while before he passed away this year and there were lots of rumours since 2024 that the end was nigh for his holiness. When Trisha was pregnant with Elvis, people thought that history would be repeating itself after the Queen saga.

Elvis was born almost a year before Pope Francis died, but that didn’t stop the theory rampaging and becoming the second instance in this saga.

Now it’s, err, Ozzy Osbourne

We’ve gone from a Queen to a Pope and now to a Prince of Darkness. Trisha Paytas’ third child was born last week, but the death of Ozzy Osbourne coincided with the announcement Trisha would be naming her son Aquaman. This was enough to set the conspiracy theory off all over again.

Originally, people thought Donald Trump may fall victim to the “curse” and be the third target of the conspiracy theory after he got diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency. This was however not the case, and the passing of Ozzy Osbourne yesterday became the third instigator of the conspiracy theory.

Even Trisha Paytas, known for being a wild one, has responded bewildered to the whole baby theory saga. On her podcast Just Trish, Trisha said ““I don’t know how my womb is carrying all these souls.”
