Another 2025 Love Islander in mix up with police?! Plus replacement for axed Islander revealed
The show hasn’t even started yet but it’s the most dramatic yet
It’s that time of year again! Welcome back to The Tab’s Love Island gossip round-up, bringing you the pettiest drama, most scandalous rumours and the least believable tabloid exclusives from around the web.
The replacement for axed Islander Kyle has been revealed
This week we were rocked by the news that OG Islander Kyle Ashman has already been axed from the show… just one day after he was listed in the official cast. It was all over a big drama to do with him being arrested, but it turned out he wasn’t even involved in the incident in question. Despite this, ITV thought it best he head home from the holding villa, to share his side of the story.
Fear not though, the show will go on! A new OG Islander has been revealed as his replacement. Meet: Conor!

via ITV
Conor is a 25-year-old rugby player from Limerick. When asked what kind of person he’s looking for, Conor said: “Someone who is really sure of themselves, ambitious, a bit of a go-getter and good craic. I like dark eyes and I don’t mind a dominant woman.” His biggest ick is someone who is “too needy”.
There’s an entire ‘justice for Kyle’ movement
Back to Kyle, and there’s actually an entire “justice for Kyle” movement on Instagram. Yes, really. Upon returning home and getting his phone back, Kyle posted a video in which he cinematically clutched a cup of tea and told the camera he’s “not a bad guy”. He teased the idea that he’s interested in coming back for Casa Amor.

After this, a page was launched calling for his justice to be served. The page calls for him to go back to the villa, as it’s “heartbreaking” to see a “promising young man” have the opportunity “snatched” away from him. Yes, it’s really that deep.
Another Islander was questioned by police before the show?!
I genuinely can’t keep up. Move along Kyle, ANOTHER Love Island 2025 Islander was apparently questioned by police ahead of his casting. According to The Sun, Dejon Noel-Williams was questioned by police after he was accused of stealing a phone on a night out.
Yet again, he was released with no further action taken. This time, ITV is said to have been aware of the allegation before he was announced as part of the show.
Dejon told The Sun: “I was never arrested. I voluntarily spoke to the police to clarify the truth about what happened in this incident, with no further action taken. To stress, my intentions here were entirely honourable and it is very upsetting to read claims that suggest otherwise.”
Harry is being pretty brutally dragged on Insta
Brutal for him, but Harry has been come for a bit on Instagram already. A few people have commented on the official Love Island reveal of him in the cast, saying he’s a bit stingy on dates. Ouch.
“Do we know who has access to Harry’s online banking so he can pay my friend back for the drinks he owes her from their date,” one person said. Another added: “Harry took my sister in law out for a date about eight weeks ago and couldn’t pay for it. Let’s hope they don’t charge for drinks in the villa haha.”
Oh no!
There are some new rules for the villa this year

via ITV
There are a few new rules and twists being revealed for Love Island 2025. In the teaser trailer for the show, Maya Jama promised more twists than ever, and a few are coming through.
Firstly, sex is back apparently. Previously, the show hasn’t broadcast if anything goes on between Islanders. But, executive producer Mike Spencer has since dished: “If sex happens, we’ll show it. The Hideaway will be open 24 hours.”
He added: “We need to keep the show fresh and exciting. After 10 years, the stats speak for themselves. The show will continue to thrive. We the producers need to stay ahead of the curve. The whole ‘twists and turns’ thing is about making the show fresh. We’re going to give it all we’ve got.”
But in a turn that feels a bit opposite, apparently all the dress-up clothing and toys have been removed from The Hideaway. Instead, the room has been kitted out for Islanders to enjoy cosy cocktails and great chat.
“I think we’ve seen it time and time again. I think we’ve got to move on,” Mike Spencer said of the Islanders whipping out toys in The Hideaway. “I don’t want this show to feel static. This show has to feel fresh.”
More pictures of the Love Island 2025 villa have been released

As well as The Hideaway, ITV has released a bunch of pictures of the villa ahead of the show. It’s the same villa as before, just with a fresh lick of paint and some glitzy accessories.

It’s a bit different colour wise this year. Previously, everything was quite blue, yellow and pink. Now, it’s all about the pink, purple and blue tones. The bedroom has had a bit of an orange makeover, too! I like it!

In other Love Island news, Harriett and Ronnie have apparently split?!
In – shocking – news, Love Island All Stars and 2024 couple Harriett and Ronnie have apparently split…again. They have seemingly called it quits after a holiday in Ibiza. It’s been noted they’ve unfollowed each other, and deleted all their pics together. Yikes.
If this is just the pre-show drama, what have we got still to come?!
