This is just how mega rich Radio 1 hosts and MIC legends Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo are

I don’t think they need new jobs tbh

Right now, Jamie and Habbs are all over the news. They’ve just announced they’re expecting a baby together, and have also landed new jobs at Radio 1. But if their combined net worth is anything to go by, Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo could probably retire into family life already.

The couple first became famous through Made in Chelsea, but have gone on to have countless other successes. They’re full-on celebs now, with businesses, podcast and TV appearances every single week.

Jamie hosts the Going Home show on Radio 1. Controversially, his wife Sophie has just joined as co-host. I say controversially, as a lot of people are arguing the role should have gone to someone with journalism training, or someone with a “new voice” for the industry.

“What is the point in us even training as journalists?,” one TikTok video said. “No hate to her, she got the opportunity and she took it and fair enough. But the people giving her that opportunity.”

Amid all this, here’s just how rich the married couple actually are.

So, what net worth do Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo have between them?

Between them, Jamie and Sophie are rich rich. Jamie is reported to be worth around £7.5million on his own.

His brand Candy Kittens is worth around £2.2million, and he also has a production company and all the very many brand deals he’s had in the past. He’s also believed to be paid around £100k for his Radio 1 slot.

On top of that Jamie has appeared on pretty much every reality show there is. As well as MIC, he’s been on Strictly, Celebrity Hunted, The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off, The Wheel, Pointless, The Hit List, Celebrity Juice and literally over 100 more (he has 127 “self” credits on IMDb).

Then let’s take a look at Sophie. Sophie first joined MIC in 2018. She has an estimated net worth of £3.8million.

Since MIC, Sophie co-founded an eco swimwear company, called Gi-swim, with her sisters and has become an Instagram influencer. Sophie has worked with brands such as Very, Abbott Lyon and Freddy Jeans. Sophie is now a very successful podcast host, with her biggest being NewlyWeds, hosted with Jamie.

So that means that combined, Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo have a pretty enviable net worth of £11.3million. Yep, a power couple.
