From the most recent episodes of Made in Chelsea, it’s very clear Sam Vanderpump is mega rich. Vanders and his girlfriend Alice got engaged after seeing each other for six months, and he proposed with what was said was a seven-figure engagement ring. Yes, in the millions. So you might be wondering if all of this money is from Sam Vanderpump himself, or his parents.

Sam was born in Camden, so not quite “made in” Chelsea, and currently lives in Fulham. His aunt is Lisa Vanderpump, of Vanderpump Rules royalty. So yes, money runs in the family. Here are all the details we know of his mega rich life and upbringing.

Who are Sam Vanderpump’s parents?

Sam’s parents are Mark and Simone Vanderpump, and he has one older brother named Jack. Mark was Lisa Vanderpump’s older brother, and was a businessman and DJ. He sadly passed away in 2018, and it was ruled he had taken his own life.

Sam’s mum Simone has a wild career behind her. She’s a hugely successful private chef, and used to work for Prince Andrew! Sam himself has said that for obvious reasons, that’s no longer something the family exactly shouts from the rooftops, but it still proves Simone’s success.

Sam’s parents actually met through Prince Andrew. Prior to owning a DJ agency, his father was working installing sound equipment, and one of his jobs happened to be at Prince Andrew’s home. Whilst there, the house dog bit him, and Sam’s mother, working in the kitchen, bandaged him up.

Sam told Grazia his parents went out for dinner after this, and were engaged “within a few months”. So, maybe that’s where Sam gets his impulse feelings of knowing when someone is the one from!

So, as we’ve established, Sam Vanderpump is the nephew of American reality TV royalty, Lisa Vanderpump. She has a reported net worth of £57million. She was one of the original Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and then went off to have spin-offs such as Vanderpump Rules. Yeah, I guess you could say the family are doing ok.

What does Sam Vanderpump do for work?

Sam has definitely made at least some of his wealth independently. He used to be a racing kart driver, and started this at aged just eight. He’s since retired from the sport, and has been working across his family businesses.

He’s currently managing director of finance app Dapio, as well as the founder of brokerage firm Vanderpump FX. According to LinkedIn, Vanderpump FX is the leading currency exchange brokerage based in London, offering bespoke currency solutions to clients across various sectors.

Given everything, it wouldn’t be too wild of an assumption to say Sam is probably a millionaire in his own right.
